After joining The Palms in 2009 as a Charge Nurse, Brandy's compassion and leadership quickly propelled her into key roles - including Memory Care Coordinator and, since 2014, Executive Director. Under her leadership, The Palms has flourished as a community built on warmth, respect, and exceptional care. There’s a quiet beauty in the way our residents share their lives with us, in the stories passed down through decades, their favorite childhood recipes they share, and the lessons offered in the simplest of moments.

They teach us that wisdom isn’t loud, it’s steady. It’s in the way they listen before they speak, in the way they notice the little things, and in how they show love not just in words, but in the way they live. This Senior Citizens Day, we honor the extraordinary people who fill our communities with kindness, courage, and grace. Recently, our communities celebrated Elvis Culture Week and went all out with fun activities from Elvis-themed happy hours to scavenger hunts! Crown Cove recently turned up the heat with a Stir-Fry Action Station that brought the whole community together! 🍜🥦

Residents and team members enjoyed building their own custom bowls while the talented culinary team cooked everything fresh to order right in front of them! Everyone was having a great time, the food was delicious, and there were smiles all around. Events like this reflect the warm, engaging atmosphere Crown Cove is known for, where great food and great company always go hand in hand!

Thanks to the incredible response they received, Crown Cove will be bringing this experience back more often. We're looking forward to seeing the dishes they create next time!

Today, we celebrate the remarkable career of Collette Gray as she retires as President and CEO of Integral Senior Living, marking more than 30 years of impactful leadership in senior living.

Collette built a culture where associates thrive, residents feel at home, and purpose drives every day. Her legacy is one of empowerment, heart, and lasting impact. Collette also played a vital role in the successful integration of ISL with Discovery Senior Living, helping create the largest privately held senior living operator in the U.S.

She has been recognized as a McKnight’s Women of Distinction Hall of Honor inductee (2023), 2025 Lifetime Achievement Award honoree, and has served as a longtime Argentum Board member and co-founder of the Women in Leadership Committee.

As she enters retirement, we thank Collette for her vision, compassion, and dedication to changing lives. Her influence will continue to shape our industry for years to come.
