ViaSat-3 F3 has entered service across the Asia-Pacific region! 🛰️🌏

More than 1 Tbps of flexible capacity is now available for customers operating across one of the world’s largest and fastest-growing markets for satellite services. This milestone marks the start of revenue-generating operations for one of the most advanced high throughput communications satellites ever deployed and a significant step forward in Viasat's global, multi-orbit network strategy.

Our proprietary beamforming technology enables capacity to be shifted dynamically in real time to wherever demand is highest. For the markets we serve, this means:

✈️ Aviation: Expanding high-performance in-flight connectivity across Asia-Pacific – one of air travel’s busiest and fastest-growing regions.

🚢 Maritime: Strengthening our NexusWave multi-network service with greater throughput across some of the region’s most active sea lanes

🪖 Government & Defense: Rapidly redirecting capacity to meet shifting operational priorities in a dynamic geopolitical environment

The final satellite of the constellation, ViaSat-3 F2, is in the final stages of in-orbit testing.

Viasat's Inmarsat Maritime business is deepening its long-standing partnership with SK Telink (SK telecom) to bring NexusWave, our next-generation bonded connectivity, to more shipowners across South Korea. 🇰🇷

As vessel operations become increasingly data-driven, this partnership reflects growing demand across Asia's maritime sector for connectivity that's resilient, secure, and built for a connected future.

ViaSat-3 service is expected to substantially enhance capacity to the region, with its planned integration into NexusWave designed to deliver enhanced performance, capacity and flexibility for customers operating across some of the world's busiest maritime routes.

As the satellite communications partner for Exploring Duo Atlantic Row 2026, we loved seeing Lottie and Ethan (and their boat, Pacemaker) at North Sails Cowes Week Bicentenary last week – a great milestone as training ramps up for their 3,000-mile unsupported row from the Canary Islands to Antigua this December.
