Our mission is simple: to support children in Nepal whose lives were deeply affected by the recent floods.
After speaking with the principals of five boarding schools. Kima Network has identified 41 students who are in the greatest need of support. Manv have lost family members or have little to no financial support
With the funds raised, we plan to cover this vears tuition and the oncoming vears to follow, tuition covers food and shelter, so they can continue their education with more stability and hope for the future.
But there are still more children who need help. Every donation and share helps Kima Network grow and reach more students.

❓️What does the way we live here in NYC and across the U.S. have to do with the devastating floods and mudslides that just happened in Nepal?

Tonight, NCWC Youth Council Director Julia Pavone, Youth Council Advisor Mark Foo and Executive Director go LIVE with Tsewang Namgyal, co founder of KIMA Network and the KIMA app, who was born and raised in Syabru Besi, one of the communities devastated by the disaster. Tsewang lost relatives and childhood friends and is now working to support children who have been impacted.

We’re talking about what happened, what’s needed NOW and the bigger question: How does our environmental footprint here contribute to a climate crisis impacting communities around the world?

This Wednesday, a devastating flash flood struck the Nepal, Tibet border after a glacial collapse in the Himalayas released a massive surge of water, ice, rock, and debris. The disaster caused widespread destruction and has left hundreds dead and more than a thousand people missing, with rescue efforts still underway and the numbers still growing.
As our communities come together in prayer, Rasuwa Society will hold a prayer at Sera Jey, while Kyidrong Kyidug will hold another prayer tomorrow at the Tibetan Community Hall 6-8PM.
Let us pray for those who lost their lives, those still missing, and all the families affected by this tragedy. 🙏.
