Its Friday! Hooray for the weekend!!
This post touches on a more personal level. It also shows how determination and Equiscope can be beautiful partners in recovery after an accident.
Here is a testimonial from Shelby,
"Equiscope has truly made my comeback so much better. I suffered a head injury with a GCS of 3, decerebrate posturing, was in a coma for 3 days and in the hospital for almost 2 months. The Doctors were unsure of what I would be able to do when I got out of hospital. Equiscope helped to speed up recovery and made the connections in my body actually work. Before there was a definite disconnect between what my brain was telling my muscles to do and what my body was actually doing. My seat while riding was definitely weak and no where near what it was before my injury. After just a few sessions with Angie and Equiscope I could tell it was getting better! We did many sessions over a few months and we were able to get my seat, balance, and even just my overall speech to be so much better and closer to normal."
With 12 sessions of Equiscope total, Angie was able to help Shelby get back in the saddle safely and happily. We love to see her competing again as well. The photo of her coming off the gray horse was after her accident, but her seat and balance were unstable and weak. Equiscope helped strengthen and improve that.
