Servant leadership is a style of leadership that was inspired by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Tried and true leaders are very hard to come by because real leading comes from serving others. Modern leaders, as they behave and as we reward them, act in a manner to serve themselves instead of the interests of those who appoint them.

Wouldn't it be nice to embrace a counterculture of western leadership characteristics and make this standard the new norm? Servant leaders.

True leadership, in any industry, comes from forming the true bonds of mentorship where those who trust you to lead them have the opportunity to trust and grow and become the best versions of themselves. A leader knows how to reward, discipline, arbitrate, explain and ensure understanding, be fair in difficult and controversial time, and celebrate the strengths of their teams while governing from the background and getting their teams all of the resources they need and all of the direction they need to accomplish incredible goals.

I used to work for a company that promoted a book which changed my life. Its sad to say the other leadership of this organization appeared to not value the lesson learned in this book as much as I did, but this reading is gold to begin to mold your leadership team members attitudes to gain a value multiplicative exchange between employee and employer. The essence of what modern day organizational empires was built upon.
