A Full-Circle Moment: From Student to Speaker

There are moments in life that stop you in your tracks. Moments that remind you just how far you’ve come.

This is one of them.

I remember walking into rooms like this as a student hungry to learn, wide-eyed, and scribbling notes as fast as I could, hoping to catch even a fraction of the wisdom in the room. I remember listening to panelists, thinking, One day, I hope I’ll be the one sitting up there, sharing what I’ve learned.

And now, here I am.

This moment isn’t just about entrepreneurship. It’s about servanthood. It’s about the mentors who poured into me, the late nights figuring it all out, the moments of doubt that turned into resilience. It’s about the power of giving back because none of us get here alone.

The best entrepreneurs, the best leaders, the best humans we don’t just build for ourselves. We reach back. We pour into the next generation the way someone once poured into us.

So to every student in the room:

Are you making it difficult for people to find basic information about
your business?

Here are 3 things that people should be able to easily find out about
your business.

✏️ Pricing

📝 Ahh pricing. Nope I won’t get off my soapbox about this one. WHY
DON’T SERVICE PROVIDERS WANT TO REVEAL THEIR PRICES. Keeping something like pricing so difficult to find just screams transparency issues
from the beginning. People want to spend their money. However, people also want to know when they can’t afford certain services. Please make your pricing super visible and clear.

✏️Services and Packages you offer

📝  This is why having your service offerings solidified is so important. As a patron of many service providers I want to know what you can help me with. I’m not interested in getting on a call with you so that you can walk me through a list of offerings that I can read myself. Let’s save both of us some time by having your offerings clearly defined so that I can understand if I even need your services.

✏️Next Steps on how to work with you

📝 Next steps do not always equal jumping on a discovery call. However, if your process involves jumping on a discovery call, please make it easy for people to do so by having a clear booking link in your bio. If the next step is payment because you’re confident that
people don’t need to jump on a call to talk through questions with you, that’s great!! However, make it very clear on your website or your social media channels how they can pay you.

How much money are you leaving on the table by not automating your business?
Yeah I know you haven’t thought about that client that you didn’t respond to their inquiry, or the client that ghosted you because it took you 3 days to respond to their inquiry or even that client that said they would be interested in 1 month but you never followed up with them…….
Did I hit the nail on the head with any of those scenarios?

All of these scenarios are real for a lot of my clients and they factor into your client experience.

🗣🗣🗣I’m screaming this for the people in the back! Yes this is true!

Someone started the rumor that only “newbies” “small business owners” “insert whatever title you can think of” are the only businesses that can have bad experiences.

Let me be the first person to dispel this myth. I’ve worked with plenty of clients and I’ve been on the receiving end of plenty of bad client experiences from “seasoned” “high earning” business owners.

There are business owners who reach 6, 7 and 8-figures without strong systems, processes and dynamic client experiences.

A bad client experience may not keep the money from coming in but it sure will:
1️⃣ Keep you from having repeat business. Client retention will definitely be down if people are having mediocre experiences with you.
2️⃣ Keep referrals to a minimal. When people have great experiences they want to shout it from the roof top. You may have been able to grab a quick buck from the initial client but don’t think you’ll be getting any referrals from the client if your client experience is bad.
3️⃣ You won’t be able to scale. It may be easy to have 3 high ticket clients but when you have 5, 10, or 50 it becomes really hard to juggle who has been onboarded, who has received Welcome information and most importantly it becomes difficult to tell who has PAID YOU!

There’s a quick answer to how you can get your client experience to a place where clients can’t stop talking about how dynamic it is.

❓ What services do you offer?
📝 I have 2 signature services: My Client Experience Strategy Session and my Client Experience VIP Intensive.

❓ What do your services include?
📝 I help you automate your client onboarding, client communication, client project management and client offboarding systems! For my Client Experience Strategy Session I evaluate your current client experience process including (client inquiry phase, onboarding phase, delivery phase, and offboarding phase) for up to 2 signature services. I recommend process improvements and system recommendations. I provide live mapping of your new process. I provide a PDF of next steps that you can use to get started implementing your new systems/processes and I provide post support for 7 business days. For my Client Experience VIP Intensive I do all of the above with a few exceptions. For my Client Experience VIP Intensive I also provide implementation of systems within 1 week of our call, I provide a recorded 90-minute offboarding call and I provide post support for 14 business days.

❓ What platforms do you set up for me?
📝 Dubsado, ClickUp, Asana and Slack. I help you set up your entire client experience process including (client inquiry phase, onboarding phase, delivery phase, and offboarding phase) including all of the systems that are needed to get those things done.

❓ Do you set up Zapier integrations?
📝 For those who may not be familiar with Zapier it helps all of our systems talk to each. For example if you want your calendar schedule to create a project in Dubsado once someone books a Discovery Call, there's an integration for that :-). If there's an integration to make your business more streamlined I incorporate it into your setup.

🗣🗣If I have to prompt you through your lead generation and onboarding process. I don’t trust you to do anything in my business.

How many times have you tried to support a service provider and this is your experience:

1️⃣ Not knowing how to book a discovery call.

2️⃣ They just say “DM them” and they don’t have any packages outlined, invoices, proposals or contracts once you do finally reach out

3️⃣You’re constantly asking them about their process and what’s next versus them guiding you though their process

4️⃣Their NAME is no where on their profile *This one gets me every time

5️⃣Their prices *I hate to be this person but if I can’t see your prices I’m not getting on a call with you to try to “tell me” how valuable you are. If I can’t afford it I can’t afford it.

😩😩I know I’m not the only one that wants to support service providers but some make it so hard to spend money with them.
