We installed this high-efficiency AC almost exactly one year ago.
For the first 343 days, it performed beautifully. The homeowner even told us, "We love the way it dehumidifies."
Then out of nowhere... it started going 6-8 hours without cooling.
I share this because sometimes, despite doing everything right, equipment still has problems. That's just reality.
Did we run from it? Nope.
Have we been back over 10 times—including weekends and once at 11 PM? Absolutely.
Did we buy them a badass window unit so they'd have at least one cool room while we work through it? Hell yes.

AC drain clogs are common in The Colony, Texas.

If your system has a float switch, also called a ceiling saver, it may shut the AC off and stop it from cooling.

⚠️ Do not stick your hand in here unless you’re a pro or you’re 100% certain power is off! ⛔️ If your furnace or air handler is making this noise when it starts up & the shaft moves side to side (not up and down in the direction the shaft is pointing) then failure is near! It is virtually impossible to know how long it will last. I’m guessing July 4th 🤷🏻‍♂️ but I’m routing for another year 🤞
