THE PASTOR WHO STOLE $500 πΈπ΅π°
I heard this story about a pastor that stole five hundred dollars.
A couple invited a pastor from their Church for dinner in their home. After the pastor left, the woman said to her husband,
"I dont see the money we had on the table, the pastor had to be the one that stole the $500 that I kept on the table in which we had intentions on giving him in the first place."
Angrily, her husband shouted; " if he takes people's money then he is a thief!" π‘
"There is no need to invite him again. We shall from henceforth be attending service in another church!" βͺ
Two months later the wife ran into the pastor one afternoon while out shopping ππand was courageous enough to face him and said,
"Hello Pastor, you have surely realised that we no longer attend service in your church. This is because we're very angry with you. The day you ate in our home there was 500 dollars on the table. It disappeared while we were eating. You were the only person who visited our house that day."
The pastor said to her, "yes, I took the money. I put it in the Bible to avoid spilling the spaghetti sauce on it." π
The woman got so confused and asked the pastor to forgive her.
She went back to her house, picked up the Bible, opened it and found the 500 dollars, which had been there for two months, untouched.
For two months, she, nor her husband, had not opened their Bible to reflect on the word of God.
For two months, she and her husband falsely accused the pastor of stealing.
Is your life in chaos? Are you not at peace with God or yourself, for any reason whatsoever? Are you making wrong decisions in your life, stuck in wrong or toxic patterns? Are you living in sin? Are you accusing others for what you are actually responsible for?
It's because you have not opened your Bible for a long time.
READ YOUR BIBLE EVERYDAY π
There's a wealth of wisdom waiting in it for you.
