Money changes you when you DON’T have any.

Broke makes men bitter. Desperate and willing to cut corners they never thought they’d cut.

Money is simply a magnifier... it magnifies character.

Want to test a man? Give him money... then give him recognition, praise, a stage.

Watch what he does with it.

Faithful with little, faithful with much.

God already told us how the test works.

I’ve been rich. I’ve been broke.

I promise you... you’d rather face life’s problems WITH money.

When I was a single father of three and starting over, I dedicated myself to strengthening my faith.

I had no idea how MANY money values and principles comes straight out of the Bible.

That’s where I learned how God’s economy works. Then I learned how money works on earth. Then how the capitalistic system works in America... and that I get to CHOOSE my economic mobility.

Nobody is gatekeeping anymore.

What a time to be in America and be an entrepreneur.

I used to check my watch and dread the next hour.

Now I check my watch and wish I had MORE time!

On the road in San Diego this week.

Coffee, laptop and eyes on the prize.

Like many I used to call Wednesday “Hump Day”.

Halfway there.
Get over the hump and coast to Friday.

Now Wednesday lights a FIYA! 🔥

Half the week's gone and I still have time to get ahead of my goal.

Hump Day turned into PUSH Day!

Plus Monday's have become my FAVORITE day.

Battery's full.
I'm walking back into something I believe God put in front of me.

King Solomon was the richest man who ever lived.

He tried everything money could buy.
And after all of it, he came back to something simple.

Enjoy your meal.
Find satisfaction in your work.
THAT is a gift from God.
(Reference Ecclesiastes 2:24)

The work itself IS the gift! Not the weekend.

Most people spend five days waiting on two.

That's 260 days a year living for the weekend.

God's path for you won't look like mine.

It doesn't have to.

But when you find the one He placed in front of you, go ALL IN!

Stop praying for Friday.

Ask God what Monday and each day is for.

So be honest.

It's Wednesday.

Your ability to provide for your family was tied to your flock.

Sheep and goats you raised, fed and guarded with your life.

That flock was your money, food, @ kids' clothes, etc.

Even the land you'd leave behind.

A shepherd counted them every night.

Checked for the one limping. Went after the one that wandered off. Protected them from the wolf.

King Solomon wrote in Proverbs 27:23-24 to Know WELL the condition of your flocks. Riches don't last forever.

Left alone, they especially don't.

Most people today can tell you what their stock did this morning.

What crypto did overnight or stats of their favorite athlete or team.

Yet ask if their family is covered and it gets reeeaaaal quiet.

The people at this table stopped ignoring their flock.

They know what's theirs.
They know what they're building.
They protected their own families first.

Now they sit across from other families every week and help them do the same.

That's the kind of leaders we build.

Shepherds.

Count your flock. Protect it. Then grow it.

I LOVE hearing those words from Bears QB Case Keenum after he beat the Eagles 27-7 last night.

38 years old, 3rd string QB, and 1,009 days since his last start. SHEEESH!

Watched it live with my new Chicago fam in Frisco.

Now BOTH Bears backup QBs went UNDRAFTED.

Overlooked.
Kept working.
Kept preparing.

And when the door cracked open they KICKED it down.

We live by this at our offices, “Too wide, too deep... we can't be beat!"

Keep bringing in new talent. Keep building up leaders within teams nobody else sees.

Before kickoff Keenum said, "Whatever happens today, I'm going to give God the GLORY."

Before.
Not after.
Hallelujah!

Rates just touched 5%.

Highest 10 year Treasury yield since 2007.

If you’re borrowing... that hurts.
Mortgage, car note, credit card.

All of it got more expensive.

Now here’s the flipside.

Somebody’s on the other side of that loan collecting.

Life insurance companies don’t sit on your premium in a vault.

They put it to work.

And the biggest place it goes is bonds.

$3.8 TRILLION in bonds.

Sitting in the general accounts of U.S. life insurers.

About 95% of it investment grade.

So when rates climb…new bonds pay more.

The lender wins. The borrower pays.

Inflation’s running 3.4%.
Prices are rising whether you plan or not.

Rule I live by... when things inflate OWN things that move UP with it.

Most families built the walls of their financial house and never poured the financial cement.

Stop letting the banks AND the insurance companies be the only ones who understand this game.

You want to get closer to God? Start a business.

You'll start praying…usually starts with ”ohhhh LAAAAWD!”

Not because running a company makes you holy.

It's because you hit walls.
Payroll. Clients. Profits…and LOSSES.

Recruiting and retaining good people you work hard to find.

Simply thinking through or strategizing through roadblocks isn’t enough.

You’ll constantly hit ceilings of complexity.

And with FAITH your efforts can power through them…you’ll discover new spiritual muscles you never knew were there.

Everybody out here is still selling fake it till you make it. The watch. The rented car. The FLEX.

Faith is the opposite. Faith will teach you to stop leaning on your own earthly understanding.

To acknowledge God and honor Him … just like you hear on Sundays… in the middle of the chaos in running your business.

And somehow on the other side God makes your path straight.

I don't know anywhere else you get to regularly put in this spiritual exercise.

Everything in business rides on your ex*****on. You still have to do the work. You just stop pretending you absolutely control what it turns into or what impact it makes.

Anything you exercise gets stronger.

That's what Monday morning is for.

Monday through Saturday...you get reps! (Sunday you get fed)

Faith first. Family second. Business third.

You got six days of reps in front of you. Let’s GO!

Benefits.
The jobs people called safe.

These loyal, committed employees showed up for years and did exactly what the job asked.

Respect!

Sadly most people are betting their family's future on a skill set or mindset they last updated years ago.

Most can't name the last book they finished. Or the last thing they learned that changed how they operate.

But they'll sit their kids down and talk about discipline.

You don't have to fall behind to get cut.
You just have to stand still thinking it's only going to happen to other people but you.
