JOB OPPORTUNITY:
Executive Director, Community Development | 30 hrs Full-time Position • Based in Apex, NC • $59,600 includes Health Insurance
Fiesta Cristiana is hiring an Executive Director for its community development arm, Fiesta Family Services, Inc., a newly established nonprofit seeking to "center the lived experiences of marginalized communities while actively dismantling systemic and structural inequities."
This executive-level position oversees the organization's daily operations, spearheads the design and implementation of community development initiatives, leads fundraising and relationship-building efforts, and serves as the primary representative and face of the organization

Key Responsibilities:
● Leadership & Operations: Lead the daily operations of the organization, including financial management, ensuring effective use of resources and compliance with all regulations.
● Program Development & Evaluation: Oversee community development initiatives' design, implementation, and evaluation to ensure alignment with the organization’s mission and community needs.
● Strategic Partnerships: Build and nurture strategic partnerships with local community leaders, organizations, and key stakeholders to drive collaboration and trust.
● Public Representation: Act as the face of the organization, representing it in public forums and liaising with local, state, and national officials to advocate for the Hispanic/Latino community and address the challenges faced by immigrant groups.
● Fund Development: Lead fundraising efforts, cultivating support from foundations, corporations, and individual donors to secure the financial sustainability of the organization.
● Communications & Marketing: Oversee the organization's external communications, including managing the website, social media platforms, and marketing materials to ensure cohesive, effective outreach and visibility.
● Board & Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with the Board of Directors on strategic planning, reporting progress, and maintaining transparency on organizational goals and initiatives.
● Workplace Culture & Staff Management: Cultivate an inclusive, positive workplace
culture that values diversity and reflects the community the organization serves, ensuring the recruitment and retention of a diverse staff.
● Financial Oversight & Budgeting: Develop and manage budgets, oversee financial audits, and ensure compliance with financial regulations, securing the organization's fiscal health.
● Grant Writing & Compliance: Lead grant writing efforts, ensuring successful applications and compliance with reporting requirements for all funding sources.
● Long-Term Strategic Planning: Work with the Board to guide the organization’s vision, mission, and long-term strategy, identifying opportunities for growth and sustainability.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, finance, or related fields.
● 3-5 years in senior management, preferably leading a nonprofit or experience with nonprofit work and/or working with rural communities.
● 3+ years of experience in community economic development.
● Proven expertise in budget management, public relations, marketing, and fundraising.
● Bilingual (Spanish-English) with a strong understanding of immigrant community challenges.
● Leadership skills with an entrepreneurial, innovative approach to problem-solving.
● Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills.
