Effective Leadership”: The Need for Bold and Uncompromising Mentors
We all need people in our lives, who will challenge us and keep us focused on “what truly matters most!”
Uncompromising people will “unsettle us” every now and then. If it was not for them, we would never get to where we rightfully ought to be.
In the scriptures, the significance of Mordecai (the uncle) in Esther's (the queen) life, cannot be overstated.
His bold, and uncompromising approach to guiding her was pivotal in helping her discover her true purpose!
By knocking at the door of ‘complacency’ with his timely intervention, Mordecai helped awaken a Queen from her royal “daydreaming,” that had cause her to detach from her current, divine purpose, and had drifted her in a more “personal” direction.
That one act reminded her of her true calling; it put her back in her rightful place, and prepared her for her most pivotal role – “saving her own people's lives.”
