This is my new office! I designed it for maximum file storage and room for things that make me smile. It is such an energizing and happy space! The printer is hidden in the adjacent closet (because who wants to look at a giant printer?) The closet storage is great for printer paper, ink and other office supplies. The closet is also my mailing and bill paying center, organizing supplies and if you look closely, my high school clarinet and piano music. When your work space reflects you and the things you love, it doesn’t seem like work at all!

The key to keeping any area organized is to remove everything, throw away expired products and then sort the items by type. Then it is just a matter of organizing products by type into containers. I used Like It Bricks from because they allow you to add dividers to give you even more specific categories. To gain more space under your sink, consider adding a shelf or look for under the sink stacked bins. If you want to stay away from plastic, I am finding many more eco-friendly products in stores these days. You could also use shoe boxes or other containers you may already have. Hat Trick!!! Here are two super easy solutions. For large collections (aka anyone who HAS to get a new hat for every place they’ve visited - and yes I live with that person), drawer dividers are awesome. Otherwise, a simple narrow container will do the trick!

Need more shoe storage space? First, take a good look at your shoes and say bye bye to any that are broken, worn or don’t fit. This simple solution uses adjustable shelving to space shelves closer together. I like to store shoes off the floor with wall hanging racks or shelves like these. It’s an easy DIY project. All ready for summer 🩴 season!

I am so excited to share my walk-in pantry with you! Creating “zones” for specific pantry items and supplies makes finding things a breeze.
