Cat's Babysitting Service I am a mature, responsible adult who loves children. I have many years of experience working with all ages of children. It is vital for a healthy child.

I have experience working with children in a variety of circumstances: daycare, babysitting, group homes, and a homeless shelter. Rather than simply babysitting, I believe it is important to interact with children. Play is the primary way a child learns socially, emotionally and intellectually. It is important that adults enter into the child's world of play to foster the child's ability to expre

ss themselves. Therefore, it is my goal to develop a healthy relationship with every child to encourage growth and maturity through play. Discipline means "to teach". I desire to guide children in making good choices through discipline. I use a variety of techniques including time out, praise, redirection, as well as talking through disciplinary issue. I do not administer any type of physical punishment--ever. I have been trained in CPR and First Aid.

Last year when I brought Silas home, I didn’t know how Ted (right) would take a new puppy. Ted was depressed after Lucy died. He was tearing up the house and was destroying door frames etc. Silas has been the best friend to Ted. Ted who is 12 or 13 had slowed down and was sad. Now he and Silas play a lot of the day. They are best friends and a joy to watch
