Whether they’re in the idea phase or have been in the business for a long time and they’re tr
ying to change something, we’re here for them. We see business owners who need to increase revenue, reach new customers, or create a marketing campaign. We have seasoned counselors who work with small business owners at their pace and meet with them as many times as helpful. Our free workshops and seminars cover the basics of what small business owners need to know for starting or growing their business. Topics include: Starting a Business, Writing a Business Plan, Social Media Marketing, or deep-dive topics like Facebook Marketing or the Basics of Bookkeeping. Our broad range of workshops and seminars is free and can also be found on our website. For people who want a more intensive business planning experience that also ties them to their community, we have an umbrella program called Launch Wake County, active across multiple towns. There are four major parts to the Launch Wake County Program: 10 weeks of training, peer mentoring, networking & community building, and assistance finding some capital. Launch program students get to build camaraderie with other businesses who are on the same path that they are, and they also get to learn from experienced entrepreneurs and business professionals - not just theory, but real-life information about what it means to start and grow a business. They get deeply connected to their communities
because Launch partners with the Town’s Chambers of Commerce, Rotary Clubs, and Business Alliances so everything in the program happens where the people live, and where they’re growing their business. We also offer a program that’s aimed at students called Launch Wake Tech where we bring entrepreneurs into the classroom, and we bring our students out to be part of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Wake County. We’re always looking for entrepreneurs and business professionals who’d like to speak to and mentor our students.
