💙 Help a Local Friend in Need 💙
My close friend is facing a short-term gap in covering essential medical and living expenses. He has survived multiple heart attacks and cardiac surgeries and is also dealing with progressive vision loss due to glaucoma and cataracts, which have been ongoing for the past two years and require timely treatment to prevent further deterioration.
Despite working with income-based medical providers, reducing expenses, switching to generic medications, and bartering skills when possible, his SSDI income isn’t enough to cover essential costs during the current Medicare waiting period.
Monthly essential expenses include:
Medications: $271
Heating: average $190
Food: $250
Doctor visits: $400
Additionally, there is an urgent eye surgery that requires an upfront portion to proceed, with the remaining balance payable over time.
Our goal is $9,222, which will cover about two months of essential expenses and provide the necessary upfront portion for the eye surgery. Every contribution, no matter how small, helps him maintain his health, independence, and remaining eyesight during this critical period.
