On October 3, the Village Castle Pines Garden Club held its Fall Food Donation Drive for the Backpack Society.

The Backpack Society helps address childhood food insecurity by providing meals to children during weekends and school breaks when school meal programs are unavailable.

The results were remarkable: 1,203 pounds of food, filling 25 donation bins and $2,084 in cash contributions, an increase from last year. Some contributed King Soopers gift cards, providing another thoughtful way to help local families.
