Cornely A - Serial Number H98465

Chenille and Chainstitch Embroidery Machine

This beautiful French made Cornely A machine has been fully serviced and is stitching beautifully.

We have fully refurbished this machine, disassembling it down to the frame, and refinished each mechanical part by hand. This machine is entirely original aside from its springs which have been replaced with high quality new parts.

From our research and experience we expect this machine to be one of the last machines made before Cornely released the A3 and A5 machines in the 1950s. Her serial number is 98465 which is congruent with the under arm yolk, large needle plate, and quick change worm gear. Thats right, this particular Cornely A comfortably fits a quick change worm gear allowing the operator to switch back and forth between Chenille and Chainstitch work in just a few seconds.

Along with the machine head you will receive a full accessory package including:

Listing this rare oddball machine for sale.

Adler 98-264S

I have heard these machines referred to as "Double Zig Zag", "Double X", "Double Cross", or "Baseball Stitch" (although there is another, and totally different stitch called "baseball stitch")

The top half is from an Adler 98, and the bottom half is from a two needle 67 machine. Instead of having a zig zag mechanism this machine has a needle bar which oscillates back and forth every stitch.
