Today marks the start of National Small Business Week! For over 40 years, BCS has been by putting the right tools in the hands of small business owners.

Through key programs like the Small Business Development Center (SBDC)—which offers free expert coaching to startups—and IASourceLink, the go-to resource for connecting Iowa entrepreneurs to help, we ensure no business owner has to grow alone.

Three students from the UNI JPEC recently received funding at the John Pappajohn Student Entrepreneurial Venture Competition. The annual competition brings together student entrepreneurs from the JPEC programs across Iowa to present their business ideas and compete for funding.

Congratulations to Kadin Walter who received $5,000 for Work N Walter Farms. Also congratulations to finalists Lily Bell (Bell Heritage Design Consulting) and Alayna Akers (Takeover Sales) who each received $500. Great job everyone!
