Ready to offer snacks and beverages to your team members but not quite sure you’re ready for a full line service provider? Here are some tips to get you started:

1. If possible get a drink cooler rather than using a standard refrigerator. Why? A drink cooler holds A LOT more beverages which means you won’t have to stock as often. Plus, you want to save room in your refrigerator for team members to store their lunches. You can even leave the bottom shelf empty in your cooler to store things like leftovers from catered events.

2. Order some bookcases and then display snacks in baskets from It’s important to get rid of original cardboard packaging to create a welcoming aesthetic.

3. Create two par lists, one for displays and one for back stock. When it’s time to restock your display, take a par inventory and then go grab exactly what you need from storage (helps if you have a cart). Once a week or once a month take an inventory of your stock room and use your par sheet to order exactly what you need. When you notice reordering has slowed on a certain snack or beverage remove it from your list and bring in a new item to keep a fun variety on hand.

Single cup brewers like Keurig and Flavia have been less popular in recent years due to a perceived negative impact on the environment. Although K-Cups and Flavia pouches can certainly add to the landfill, if a company wants to, they can participate in robust recycling programs offered by both companies.

Pre-COVID we would not have recommended single cup options as a first solution to your office coffee needs; however, with more and more companies offering hybrid schedules and with fewer people coming to the office every day, single cup coffee brewers may be the best option to keep coffee fresh and to reduce waste (why brew an entire pot of coffee if only two cups are drank?).

If you have less than 20 people in the office every day, this may be the best option for you.

Single cup brewers are also a great way to offer a variety of roasts (light, medium and dark) as well as flavored coffee. Although tea is available in K-cups we recommend reducing environmental impact and cost by offering tea bags instead of K-cups.

Airpot brewers are what we would consider an office coffee staple. These are the little engines that could and they serve multiple purposes in any office, which we will get to in just one minute.

These machines work best when paired with portion pack coffee. Portion packs are perfectly portioned bags of ground coffee that make the ideal 12 cup pot.

Airpot brewers work great for every day coffee consumption in breakrooms where multiple people start their day at the same time or take similar timed breaks/lunches. Because they brew 12 cups at once and come with carafe displays, it's common for one member of the team to get coffee started about 10 minutes before the day or break begins.

Airpot brewers are also great to have on hand when the work might be split between office workers and warehouse workers. If you have a larger amount of team members in the warehouse you can provide Starbucks from airpot brewers to accommodate the larger volume and then provide Starbucks inside the office via a bean to cup machine or single cup machine. All team members get the same brand of coffee just delivered in the best way possible to keep up with usage and ensure freshness.

If you have large events or board meetings we also highly recommend keeping an airpot brewer on hand. With displays for carafes you can set up a hospitable coffee station without having to have coffee catered.

Liquid concentrate brewers can get a bad rap. Yes, these machines are very similar (if not identical) to coffee brewers you find at popular gas stations and no they aren't known for their craft roasts, BUT these machines do an amazing job of getting hot coffee to the masses.

If a large portion of your team works in a factory or in a distribution center, this type of machine may best suit your needs and your budget.

Coffee comes frozen in a concentrated form and then the machine adds water as needed with every cup that dispenses.

Do you think this type of machine could be the best fit for your Dallas location and budget? Call us at 972.572.5200 or follow link in bio to our coffee page to learn more information about this and other brewers provided by Ameritex Vending.

Are you getting complaints that your office coffee doesn't taste great? Maybe you have been charged with creating a coffee program for your office but aren't really sure where to start.

If that's the case, here is a quick office coffee tutorial.

There are 4 types of categories when we look office coffee equipment:

1. Liquid concentrate - this is the type of coffee that comes frozen in a concentrate form and then the machine adds water to it as needed per cup made

2. Airpot brewers - these are the type of units that brew 12 cups of coffee at a time. These units are very similar to what you see when you order a cup of Pike's at Starbucks.

3. Single cup brewers - these are the units like Keurig, Flavia and LavAzza

4. Bean to cup machines - these are the Cadillacs of office coffee brewers and are the machines that grind whole beans fresh with every cup. This is the type of unit that also makes the "fancy" beverages like mochas, cappuccinos and true espresso shots.

Not sure which machine would be the best fit for your office? Take a quick quiz to find out (link in bio)

Snacks and beverages are a very visible part of your office offerings. Because of that, there's a lot of room to make employees happy by switching up the snacks and beverages you provide. Not sure where to start? Here are some ideas:

1. If you aren't currently offering anything for free, you can start by:

a. subsidizing some items in your current vending machines/market
b. offering fresh fruit
c. offering some items, like sparkling water, 12oz soda and granola bars in reach in coolers and open shelves

2. If you are currently offering snacks but team members are getting bored talk to you vendor about:

a. changing the variety to include healthier items
b. rotating items at least 1x a month
c. highlighting local companies
d. increasing your offerings to include things like avocados, bagels, cereals, yogurts, carrots, celery, etc.

3. If you already offer a robust snack and beverage menu consider adding kegerators with cold brew and kombucha, or upgrading to include items like fresh salads and sandwiches.

Office coffee is one of THE cheapest employee benefits AND it's also ranked as one of THE highest perceived benefits.

That's a lot of bang for your buck in one cup of Joe.

Not sure where to start with upgrading your office coffee experience. Here are some suggestions:

1. If you have an airpot brewer and want to keep that system (where you brew 12 cups of coffee at once into a carafe) we recommend upgrading your beans. If you have Folgers/Maxwell House or an equivalent, consider bringing in a premium roast like Starbucks. Already have Starbucks? Consider asking your vendor to upgrade you to a local favorite.

2. If you already have an airpot brewer and are looking to upgrade to more premium drinks consider adding a bean to cup machine. These machines grind whole beans fresh for each cup of coffee made, can make true espressos and with that true espresso drinks like mochas, lattes, cappuccinos, americanos and more.

3. If you have a full time employee count that is less than 50 people in your office a day, then consider a single cup brewer like Flavia or Keurig. These machines have come a long way since they first came on to market and are a great way to offer specialty beverages that are fresh for each team member, aka no more cold/stale coffee.

We've officially entered the season of gratitude and gifting. Let your employees know how much you appreciate them this holiday season and all year long.

Not sure where to start? We've got three suggestions for you:

1. Improve your existing coffee program. Maybe you currently offer airpot coffee and your budget doesn't allow for any equipment changes. That's okay! Upgrade from a Folgers roast to a more premium brand like Starbucks.

2. Offer snacks and beverages for free to employees who are coming in to the physical address.

3. Send snacks directly to employee's homes. There's a lot of great snack box companies out there but we love working with
