Ready to offer snacks and beverages to your team members but not quite sure you’re ready for a full line service provider? Here are some tips to get you started:
1. If possible get a drink cooler rather than using a standard refrigerator. Why? A drink cooler holds A LOT more beverages which means you won’t have to stock as often. Plus, you want to save room in your refrigerator for team members to store their lunches. You can even leave the bottom shelf empty in your cooler to store things like leftovers from catered events.
2. Order some bookcases and then display snacks in baskets from It’s important to get rid of original cardboard packaging to create a welcoming aesthetic.
3. Create two par lists, one for displays and one for back stock. When it’s time to restock your display, take a par inventory and then go grab exactly what you need from storage (helps if you have a cart). Once a week or once a month take an inventory of your stock room and use your par sheet to order exactly what you need. When you notice reordering has slowed on a certain snack or beverage remove it from your list and bring in a new item to keep a fun variety on hand.
