🚒 Training Together. Preparing Together.

Today, Chief Jones and Assistant Chief Tucker joined other first responders and the Northwest R-I School District for a training and tabletop exercise focused on preparing for large-scale events that could occur at our schools.

Exercises like this give us an opportunity to work through challenges, strengthen communication, and make sure our public safety partners and local schools are prepared to work together when our community needs us most.

We truly value the relationships we have with our partners in public safety and our local schools. The better we train together, the better we can serve our community. 🤝🚒

Today, I am honored and grateful to announce that our community has approved the Fire District bond issue.
The passage of this bond issue is a critical investment in the safety, protection, and future of our community. These funds will allow the Fire District to replace aging equipment, improve emergency response capabilities, maintain reliable facilities, and ensure that our firefighters and first responders have the tools they need to serve residents effectively.
As our community continues to grow, so do the demands placed on emergency services. This bond issue represents a commitment to public safety, helping the District meet current needs while preparing for future challenges. The improvements funded through this measure will enhance emergency response times, strengthen firefighter safety, and protect lives and property for years to come.
We are grateful for the community's support and trust in the Fire District's mission. Together, we are investing in a safer and stronger future for everyone we serve.

July was another busy month for the Cedar Hill Fire Protection District!

🚒 July by the Numbers:
112 emergency responses including medical emergencies, vehicle rescues, assisting law enforcement, and deploying command staff to the Lesterville area during the flash flooding event.

No matter the call, our firefighters responded with the professionalism, dedication, and compassion our community expects and deserves.

📚 Training Never Stops
Our members completed 395 hours of training throughout the month, sharpening the skills that help keep our community safe. Training topics included:
• Ladder rescue operations
• Driver cone confidence course
• Rescue boat operations
• Water supply operations

🎉 Celebrating Our Members
July also gave us the opportunity to celebrate the well-earned promotions of several members of our department. These promotions reflect countless hours of hard work, training, leadership, and dedication to serving our community. Congratulations to each of our newly promoted members—we are proud of your accomplishments and look forward to seeing you continue to grow in your new roles.

🏫 Serving Beyond Emergencies
In addition to emergency response and training, our crews began annual school inspections to help ensure students and staff have a safe learning environment this fall. We also participated in several public relations events, including providing standby coverage during our community's America 250th Birthday celebrations. It was an honor to help ensure everyone could celebrate safely while commemorating our nation's 250 years of history and connecting with the community we are proud to serve.

Whether responding to emergencies, training for the next call, supporting community events, or helping keep celebrations safe, we are honored to serve you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
