🇺🇸 In the military community, an "Angel Flight" is a solemn designation and call sign assigned to U.S. Air Force C-130 aircraft that are flying the remains of fallen soldiers home. These flights are given top priority in U.S. airspace. When approaching an airfield, the aircraft may release defensive flares in a tribute pattern that resembles an angel's wings.
