Happy 251st birthday to the U.S. Navy!

On October 13, 1775, the Continental Congress authorized the first armed ships of what would become the U.S. Navy. The Navy has been standing the watch ever since, on every ocean and through every generation.

Body armor does not fail all at once.

Once an agency procures and issues armor, most of the lifecycle risk begins. Warranty timelines, care, inspections, and retirement all determine whether that armor keeps protecting the officer wearing it.

We wrote about this earlier this year, and it's just as relevant today. It's also the thinking behind our platforms: The Armor List™ for researching products and verifying companies, and ArmorTrack™, for managing armor from issuance through retirement.

Twenty-five years.

Today our thoughts are with the 2,977 people who did not come home, and with the families who have lived with that absence every day since.

We think of the firefighters, officers, and medics who moved toward the danger without pausing to weigh it.

We remember. Today and always.
