One of the most important AI reminders for go-to-market teams right now: AI doesn't fix your process problems. It exposes them. πŸŽ™οΈ

Ronnie Duke shared on Episode 60 of the RevOps Hero Podcast that one of the biggest mistakes he sees is teams pointing AI at problems that existed long before the technology arrived. Contradictory fields, gaps in documentation, processes nobody has maintained in years β€” none of that goes away when you connect a new tool. It surfaces immediately.

On day one with one of his clients, connecting AI to their HubSpot instance turned up fields that were directly contradicting each other. Nobody had noticed because the team had learned to work around it. AI doesn't work around anything. It just tries to use what's there.

The fix is process governance: being intentional about what tools your AI has access to, what knowledge base it relies on, and who owns keeping that current. That job doesn't disappear with AI. It becomes more critical.

We love a review that ends with "I look forward to working more together in the future!"

Skylar Crook at Bosco & Roxy's worked with Andrew Chao to build out HubSpot workflows and automations that gave their sales team a more automatic process for tracking prospects. Less manual work, more visibility, and a foundation they can build on.

Thank you, Skylar and the whole Bosco & Roxy's team!

Most building materials companies run their entire operation on an ERP: quotes, product library, order history, all of it. So when a fast-growing, multi-state client wanted to give their sales team a real CRM, the hard part wasn't standing up HubSpot. It was doing it without pulling their team away from Epicor BisTrack, their source of truth.

We built the connection instead. Reps can now look up live BisTrack records directly in HubSpot, including order history, billing, and invoices. Plus a Construction Monitor integration that turns county permit data into sales-ready leads, and a region-by-region rollout that let the team see results before the next phase even started.

The kicker: this is a sales team where some reps still track deals on sticky notes. So we ran small-group training tailored to each person's comfort level. Now, leads route by zip code, the sales leader has real pipeline visibility, and permit applications flow straight into HubSpot as prospects.

This is the full story of how we helped this client roll out their first-ever CRM: integrated, adopted, and built to scale as they acquire new locations.

Closed-won doesn't mean cash collected. For most teams, there's a gap in between: manual handoffs, re-keyed orders, renewals tracked in spreadsheets. That's where revenue leaks.

HubSpot Revenue Hub closes it. ClearPivot implements it right. Let's connect to make RevHub work for you: https://hubs.ly/Q04t_Q990

Every CRM has a checkbox nobody can explain. πŸ˜…

You know the one... a field that's been sitting there for years, created by someone who may not even be at the company anymore, for a reason nobody fully remembers. Your team has developed an intuition around it. New employees learn to ignore it. And it just keeps stacking up alongside every other field, workflow, and trigger that's accumulated over years of business evolution.

Ronnie Duke shared this observation on Episode 60 of the RevOps Hero Podcast β€” and it perfectly captures why AI agents struggle in real-world go-to-market systems. The agent sees the data. It has none of the context. So it guesses. And that guess ends up in your reporting.

The solution isn't a cleaner CRM overnight. It's building the context layer your AI needs to interpret what it's looking at correctly.

This is one of the most important AI warnings for go-to-market teams right now. πŸŽ™οΈ

Ronnie Duke shared on Episode 60 of the RevOps Hero Podcast that when you plug an LLM into your systems, it delivers answers but not always the methodology behind them. If the foundational data has gaps or context the AI doesn't know about, you can spend months reporting wrong information to stakeholders, all while it looks completely confident.

His analogy is perfect: it's like hiring a new employee, handing them every login, and trusting whatever they say after that.

The solution is building the context layer your AI actually needs β€” the documentation, the data dictionaries, the knowledge base β€” so it can interpret your information correctly from the start.

HubSpot onboarding that actually fits around your team, not the other way around. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Spencer at Tough Day gave Andrew Chao a glowing review after their HubSpot onboarding, and the detail that stood out most: Andrew didn't just show up and run through a script. He learned their specific needs and desired outcomes, then adjusted the sessions to make sure they were getting the most out of every one.

Responsive after hours. Flexible when schedules shifted. 10/10.

Thank you, Spencer and the Tough Day team! πŸ™Œ

This is one of the most practical AI workflow tips we've heard on the podcast. πŸŽ™οΈ

Ronnie Duke shared on Episode 60 of the RevOps Hero Podcast how he builds self-healing governance into his Claude projects. When something changes (a task, a process, a direction), the system either updates the documentation on its own or asks him whether it should.

No blanket recipe works for everyone. But the principle is solid: build your rules into the memory and logic of the tool itself, so it asks the right questions before moving on instead of quietly drifting out of date.

That's the difference between an AI tool you constantly have to manage and one that helps manage itself.

Revenue attribution is where go-to-market teams go to war.

When attribution is treated as a zero-sum game, only one team can "win" any given deal. Marketing, sales, and partners are all measured on the same opportunity source, so the other two walk away frustrated. Pipeline calls turn into line-by-line credit disputes. Reps sandbag opportunities and wait out the clock to claim a deal.

The math was never the hard part. The politics were.

On the latest RevOps Hero Podcast, George Samaras (Marketing Operations @ Ataccama) breaks down how he fixed it. Not with a new tool, but with a better system:

β†’ He replaced a zero-sum, first-touch model with parallel measurement, so marketing operates as an overlay while sales and partners get credited on their own metrics

β†’ Every team can get credit on the same deal, which means they're finally rowing in the same direction instead of against each other

β†’ He used a year of historical data to set the pipeline baseline each team is held to
One line from George stuck with us: tools don't resolve attribution disagreements, they encode them.

If you've ever sat on a pipeline call watching three teams fight over the same dollar, this episode is for you.

Why do attribution fights break out across marketing, sales, and partners? George Samaras of Ataccama shares how to fix cross-team credit for good.
