There are several ways to improve your cash flow. The biggest is to stay on top of overdue invoices! I recommend giving customers terms of NET 15 days to pay there invoice, not NET 30. The reason being is NET 30 is too long and electronic invoices can get lost in our ever growing inboxes, and Due on Receipt is pushy and unrealistic. Giving them a NET 15, or about 2 weeks, is a reasonable amount of time for your business to wait for payment, while allowing your customer a nice grace period to cut you a check. I have seen remarkable results when a business switches to NET 15. If you are having a hard time collecting payments from your customers, then consider making the switch!
