Happy Mother's Day! Good news mom, you can relax now.

Yesterday was Mother’s Day, and so many mothers spend their lives worrying and stressing over the best path for their children’s future success and careers.

But in the end, raising children who are happy, healthy, financially stable, and grounded in faith is already something truly beautiful, in my opinion- no matter which route they choose.

Allow your children to create their own goals, dreams, and expectations for themselves. As parents, we should guide and support them — not expect them to fulfill the dreams, opportunities, or paths we may not have had ourselves.

We even had AI help analyze the best strategies for student success, but we also understand that there is no one-size-fits-all path for every child.

Every child is different — with different strengths, passions, personalities, and goals. The most important thing is helping them find a path where they can grow into happy, healthy, successful individuals while staying true to who they are.

Please share your story if you have experienced this as well. Your testimony may help others who are going through the same thing. 🙏

During COVID, someone very close to me had a complete breakdown because of their job and the stress of the world. What started as workplace stress slowly became something deeper. The pressure, the conflict with their boss, the feeling of being trapped… it eventually affected their mental health in ways no job ever should.

Watching someone I love go through that broke my heart.

It made me realize something I’ve seen many times throughout my career in HR: people often feel like their job defines their worth. When things go wrong at work, they feel like their whole life is falling apart.

But the truth is — no job deserves that kind of power over someone’s life.

There is so much more to you than your job title. There are people who love you. There are other opportunities, other paths, other ways forward.

Over the years I’ve watched several people reach a breaking point because of work stress, toxic environments, or simply not knowing their options. Some lost their confidence. Some lost their careers. Some never fully recovered from the damage.

That is one of the reasons I started this nonprofit.

I want people to know there are other options. I want individuals and small businesses to have access to guidance, support, and people who genuinely care before things reach that breaking point.

Your job matters. But your life, your health, and your purpose matter more.

This mission is dedicated to someone I love whose story I will keep private — but whose experience opened my eyes to how much help people truly need in the workplace.

If this work helps even one person realize they are worth more than their job… it will all be worth it.

More to come soon. ❤️

We're looking for mentors and volunteers; people who believe careers should not destroy families, mental health, or hope for the future.

Your support—whether through time, expertise, mentorship, or financial contributions—can change someone’s life.

TruePathHR, a newly established 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization was created with a mission to bring hope, guidance, and integrity back into the workforce. Too many people are struggling silently in their careers—feeling lost, overwhelmed, or unsure of their future. Too many small businesses want to do the right thing but are navigating complicated employment laws and HR challenges without support.

We believe no one should have to face those struggles alone.

But a mission like this cannot be built by one person.

We are calling on people who want to make a difference.

We are looking for:

• Donors who believe in this mission and want to help fund resources, guidance, and support for individuals and small businesses in need.
• HR professionals and employment law experts/ attorneys who want to use their knowledge to protect and guide others.
• Business leaders and mentors who want to help people discover purpose and direction in their careers.
• Volunteers with passion and heart—people willing to step in when someone needs help the most.

This is more than a nonprofit.

We need people who are willing to pause their busy lives for a moment to help someone find their path again. People who believe careers should not destroy families, mental health, or hope for the future.

Your support—whether through time, expertise, mentorship, or financial contributions—can change someone’s life.

If this mission speaks to you, we invite you to stand with us.

Together, we can help people find their true path.

✨ More to come soon. The journey is just beginning.

Keep in mind if you own a business in Colorado and have employees they are entitled to FAMLI...

Directly from the FAMLI policy:

Employers and their employees are both responsible for funding the program and may split the cost 50/50. The premiums are set to 0.9% of the employee’s wage, with 0.45% paid by the employer and 0.45% paid by the employee. Employers may also choose to pay the full 0.9% as an added benefit for their employees.

Businesses with nine or fewer employees are only responsible for deducting and sending in the 0.45% of their employees' share of premium on their behalf each quarter. These small businesses may also choose to pay the 0.45% on behalf of their employees.

All businesses with at least one qualified employee are required to register with the FAMLI Division before the first premium payment is due at the end of the first quarter of 2023. Self-employed individuals, or sole proprietors with no employees, are not required to register. Regardless of your business structure, if you have at least one qualifying employee, you will need to register with the Division, submit wage data and send in premiums on behalf of that employee. Visit our Individuals and Families page for more information on the options for self-employed individuals. Small businesses can also check out our Small Business Guide to FAMLI (opens in new window)if you are still unsure about whether or not you have qualifying employees.

Be there when a loved one goes through a health challenge. Paid family leave benefits are now available to Colorado workers through the state’s Family and Medical Leave Insurance program. Learn more about FAMLI at
