In loving memory of Logan Engel

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Logan Engel, a former employee and cherished member of our family. Logan was a beloved husband, father, son, and brother.

During college breaks, he worked at Central City Scale, helping prepare, ship, and assemble scale kits that may still be in use on your farm today. He later earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree and brought the same care and compassion to his professional work that he demonstrated in all aspects of his life.

Logan came from a wonderful family that placed great importance on caring for others. They are among the most selfless people you will ever meet, and Logan embodied those values throughout his life by helping others through physical therapy. Wise beyond his years, he was someone even those decades older could look up to.

We find some solace in knowing that Logan lived with intention and made the most of his life. His character is reflected in the many people he positively impacted and in the profound sorrow we feel at losing him far too soon.

We extend our prayers to Logan’s wife, Katelyn, and their children; his parents, Tom and Karen; and his siblings, Holly, Brooke, Whitney, and Chloe, along with their spouses and children.

"What's on your mind?":

Maximize truck loads. Avoid overweight fines and unnecessary trips.

A grain cart scale gives you proven ±0.5% accuracy (1% is the industry average — reliable bushel counts every load — so you load to legal limits instead of estimating.

Real-time yield insights let you spot field variability as you go. Use exact cart weights to calibrate your combine monitor. And every unload is logged automatically with date, time, GPS and weight.

Fits any cart — custom installs or retro-fit kits for older models. Built for harvest: rugged against dust, vibration, moisture and rough terrain.

Built for producers. Built for the field.

🎉 Hanna’s Next Chapter Begins 🎉

Celebrating a Legacy at Central City Scale

Since 1991, she hasn’t just worked at Central City Scale, she’s helped build it into what it is today. Through decades of change, growth, and everyday challenges, she showed up with consistency, strength, and heart.

Her impact goes far beyond the work itself. It’s in the relationships she built, the standards she set, and the example she gave of what dedication really looks like.

Today, we celebrate not just a career, but a legacy. And while this chapter is closing, it’s only making space for a new one filled with more freedom, more time for what she loves, and everything she’s earned along the way.

Thank you, Hanna, for everything. We’re going to miss you!
❤️ Drop a message below and help us wish her a happy retirement!
