We spend a lot of time thinking about what happens once the boat hits the water, but a safe boating day starts before you ever leave the driveway.

Before towing your boat, take a few minutes for a quick trailer check:

• Check tire pressure and look for cracks or unusual wear
• Make sure the coupler is completely seated and locked
• Cross and secure your safety chains
• Connect the breakaway cable correctly
• Test your brake lights and turn signals
• Check the winch strap and bow safety chain
• Make sure transom straps are secure
• Take a quick look at your wheel bearings and hubs

And don't forget the spare tire. Make sure it's inflated and that you actually have the tools you'll need to change it.

Five minutes in the driveway can prevent a very long day on the side of the road.

Check the boat. Check the trailer. Then go make some memories.

I-SPY… A BOULTON!
Look what we spotted cruising through Brookings Harbor!

There’s just something fun about seeing a Boulton out in the wild, especially one that’s clearly been out there doing what it was built to do.
We love spotting Boultons wherever our travels take us.

Boulton owners: If you see another Boulton at the dock, on the water or headed down the highway, snap a picture and send it our way!

And if this is your Boulton… give us a shout in the comments!

MORE BOAT. MORE CAPABILITY. MORE INCLUDED.

Meet the 2027 Boulton Hook 18, built for anglers who want more out of every day on the water.

At 20'6" overall, the Hook 18 combines serious fishing room with the strength of a .190" heavy-gauge welded aluminum hull, a 40-gallon fuel capacity, and performance of up to 43 MPH with a Yamaha 115.

But specs only tell part of the story.

The Hook was designed to give you the space, durability, range and fishing capability you want, without paying for a lot of upgrades just to get the boat set up the way you need it.

BOULTON BOATING TIP | Know Before You Go

You know where the fishing gear is.

But does everyone aboard know where the safety gear is?

Before heading out, take a few minutes to make sure you and the people boating with you know the location of your:

• Life jackets
• Fire extinguisher
• First-aid kit
• Emergency signaling devices
• VHF radio or other communication equipment
• Bilge pump controls
• Battery shutoff
• Anchor and line

In an emergency, you don't want to be searching compartments or relying on the captain to do everything. A few minutes at the dock can make a big difference on the water. Before you leave this weekend, give everyone aboard the quick tour.

Know your boat. Know your equipment. Boat safe.

The Boulton Family Album: 25 Years. 6,500 Days. ONE Boulton.

We’re excited to introduce the Boulton Family Album, a YouTube feature series sharing the stories of the people, adventures and memories behind Boulton boats.

For this feature, we’re introducing you to Captain Bryan Roccucci of Big Daddy’s Guide Service and a Boulton story nearly 25 years in the making.

Bryan has spent more than 6,500 days on the water with the same Boulton hull. Over the years, the boat has evolved, been upgraded and rebuilt, but the foundation and the stories made aboard it have remained.

This story is about longevity, but it’s also about so much more. First fish. Seasoned anglers. Clients who became lifelong friends. Incredible days on the water. And a guide who has been fortunate enough to call his Boulton his office for more than two decades.

25 Years. 6,500 Days. Countless Memories. ONE Boulton.

BOATING TIP | Take Care of What Takes Care of You

A well-built boat can give you decades on the water, but a little care along the way makes a difference.

A few simple habits can help keep your boat ready for the next adventure:

• Rinse and clean your boat after use, especially after saltwater trips.
• Keep an eye out for corrosion and address it early.
• Check batteries, electrical connections and wiring regularly.
• Stay on top of engine and trailer maintenance.
• Don't forget the little things: hardware, pumps, hoses and fittings all deserve a regular look.

The goal isn't to keep a boat looking brand new.

It's to keep it running, fishing and making memories year after year.
