For this Boulton family, their 2018 Sentinel has never been just a fishing boat. Over the past eight years, it has traveled from West Coast waters to Arkansas lakes and rivers and all the way to the Gulf,carrying a family, chasing fish, and creating memories along the way.
Before buying their Boulton, they did their homework.

Their Sentinel was customized from the beginning, including downrigger mounts installed during the build. Even the color scheme has a story. It proved unique enough that Hillside Honda later asked to use the combination again.

Fishing is what this boat was built for, and this family has certainly put that versatility to the test.
Before moving to Arkansas, the Boulton spent plenty of time in West Coast waters chasing salmon, kokanee and trout. Today, most outings are on local Arkansas lakes and rivers, but when they're ready for saltwater, they're not afraid of a road trip.
They'll tow the Sentinel nine hours to the Gulf to chase snapper, cobia and sharks.
From deep water to shallow, calm conditions to rough seas, the owner's confidence in his Boulton hasn't changed.
“Our boat is good in any water. Deep or shallow, flat or lumpy, it is built to take whatever I can throw at it.”
That confidence comes from experience. They've encountered tight waves in the Pacific and, more recently, big water while fishing about 10 miles out in the Gulf.

And apparently, the swim ladder works pretty well too, something his son unexpectedly discovered during a trip to Venice last summer!
The Best Days Are Family Days
As impressive as the places this Sentinel has traveled are, the owner's favorite part of the boat has little to do with aluminum, horsepower or rough-water performance.
It's who has been aboard.
His wife, son and daughter are his regular fishing partners. His mom and other family and friends have joined them as well, including his son's best friend, Eric.
But among eight years of memories, some stand above the rest.
“I have so many memories with the boat over the past eight years, but I always come back to the ones where I got to fish with my dad. Pyramid Lake, Nevada, was really special in that realm.”
And that's what the Boulton Family Album is really about.
The fish are part of the story. The destinations are part of the story. And the boat that gets you there is certainly part of it.
But years later, it's often the people who were sitting beside you that you remember most.
A Boulton in the South
Today, their 2018 Sentinel is a long way from where its story began. As the only Boulton they've seen in their area of the South, it tends to attract attention, and plenty of questions.
