Quick update - we nearly have every tower back online. This weather hit our network area VERY HARD. Thank YOU to our customers that have been patient with our customer support staff and technicians. Rest assured we have been working around the clock to get everybody back up and won't stop until that offline customer count is 0! 🙏

Also THANK YOU to the teams of our fellow utility workers at Alabama Power that have been burning the midnight oil getting power back up across the area. You are appreciated. 🙏

⚠️FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAY: In my latest
analysis I still see a more elevated tornado risk across south and west areas. That said, with every event that involves severe storms this time of year, an isolated tornado risk is often present. We just need to watch these areas highlighted for a significant tornado risk. Also, gusty winds, hail, and even the risk for some localized flooding; a stormy evening across the state. Just stay weather alert, have a plan, and I promise we will keep you well informed every step of the way. Look for me back here soon with a LIVE update and answering questions, so make sure you are following. Also, keep it on channel 6. We will be live at the top and bottom of every hour!

Hey folks, Josh here, CEO of Alabama Lightwave. Wanted to share something from our friends down in Florida. Streamline Internet is a small business just like us, selling blazing fast internet to residents, local governments, and commercial businesses, and running crews of local guys who take their work seriously and show up for their neighbors. They're also giving first responders and essential workers generous discounts, same as what we do across Bibb, Chilton, and Choctaw County.

Huge thanks to WISPA and WINK News for shining a light on the kind of work WISPs are doing every day. These are Main Street guys. Real people, real trucks, real ladders, building real networks in places the big carriers forgot about. It's pretty cool seeing another win for a company that looks a lot like ours, this time all the way down in Hendry County, Florida.

I'm lucky to call Lou, the CEO of Streamline, a friend. I've spent time out in the field with his team and watched their installs up close. Good folks doing good work, and it shows in the way their customers talk about them.

Congrats to Lou and the whole Streamline crew on the launch in Southwest Florida. Well deserved.

Families in Port LaBelle say they were promised internet and cable when they built their homes, but years later, they're still waiting.

Hey folks! We're monitoring a major power outage in the downtown Brent area. Several of our internet access sites have lost power causing internet disruption in this area. It's not just your house! Our emergency response procedures are activated and we're working to get affected sites back up now.

We want to take a moment to give a big thank-you to our friends at SAF Tehnika for making the trip from Denver and New Hampshire down to rural Alabama this week.

They came to see firsthand how we’re using their equipment in the field to deliver reliable rural internet, and to show us some new solutions they’re developing for weather and environmental monitoring.

Their technology has played an important role in helping us build fast, dependable connectivity across Alabama’s challenging terrain. We’re grateful for their support!

Safe travels home, and thanks again for spending time with us today in Bibb County! We’re big fans.
