I have a passion for using my life experiences as a divorce attorney and in overcoming my own difficult divorce to help others facing an intimidating life transition. Even when facing an uncooperative spouse it is possible to move through the divorce process with emotional intelligence and positivity, preserving your well-being, and that of your children. I am determined that our assumptions and b

eliefs around divorce change from blame, anger and shame to compassion, empathy, and mutual acceptance. This change in perspective is crucial to helping those still struggling with whether divorce is the right decision, as well. In 2021, when we’ve discovered how the trauma of childhood follows us into our adult lives, I believe we have an obligation to lessen the impact of divorce on future generations, starting one family at a time :).

Divorce doesn’t have to mean war. 💛🌿

You can decide your marriage is over without deciding that you have to become enemies.
You can disagree without turning every decision into a fight. You can protect your own interests while still respecting the person on the other side. And when children are involved, you can work toward a new relationship built around co-parenting rather than conflict.

Mediation gives couples the space and support to make important decisions together, with the goal of moving forward instead of tearing each other down. 🤝

Divorce can bring out a lot of emotions. But even when things are difficult, there’s still room for thoughtfulness. 💛🌿

This , consider what it could look like to approach divorce with a little more intention.

Pausing before reacting. Considering how decisions will impact your children. Choosing communication over conflict. Looking for solutions that allow both people to move forward.

You don’t have to agree on everything to have a thoughtful divorce. Mediation can help create the space for calmer conversations, better decisions, and a path forward that protects what matters most.

Wondering how divorce mediation actually works? 🤝💛

Instead of each spouse preparing for a battle, mediation brings you together with a neutral professional to work through the decisions that need to be made, from finances and property to parenting plans and your future.

The goal isn’t to “win” the divorce. It’s to find solutions you can both live with, keep communication productive, and create a clear path forward without unnecessary conflict. 🌿

At Family Transitions, we help couples navigate the process step by step so you know what needs to happen, what decisions need to be made, and what comes next.

There are practical steps you can take to better understand your situation, think about the future you want, explore your options, and build the right support system before making major decisions.

When you’re co-parenting, a little thoughtfulness can go a long way. 💛👨‍👩‍👧‍👦
It can mean keeping your children out of disagreements, being flexible when plans change, communicating respectfully, or simply remembering that your kids benefit when both parents feel supported in their role.

You may no longer be partners in marriage, but you’ll always be partners in raising your children.

Mediation can help you build a co-parenting plan centered on communication, consistency, and what matters most: giving your children the stability and support they need to thrive. 🌿
