Senator Christy Zito stopped by for a visit recently, and we appreciated the opportunity to share how CusterTel is working to keep rural Idaho connected.

We toured our ongoing fiber construction on the East Fork and discussed the importance of investing in the technology and infrastructure that support our Members every day. Special thanks to Construction Coordinator Steven Orick and Wayne Dodd of Ray's Heating Plumbing Electric Inc. for demonstrating how directional boring allows us to install fiber with minimal disruption to roads, property, and landscaping.

As an NTCA - The Rural Broadband Association Smart Rural Community, we're proud of the broadband network serving our Members, but none of it would be possible without our dedicated employees and cooperative leadership. Board President Bill Ebberts was instrumental in reaching out to Senator Zito to set this up. We discussed workforce topics and ways to help ensure rural communities can retain our talented students and attract the next generation of community leaders.

Thank you Senator Zito, for taking the time to learn more about the challenges and opportunities facing rural communication providers. We appreciate your interest and look forward to continuing the conversation about keeping rural Idaho connected.
