Illinois Business Consulting Illinois Business Consulting is the nation’s largest student-run consulting firm. Illinois Business Consulting is student led and student driven.

Students apply for the leadership positions and are selected based on their prior IBC experience, work experience, project management skills, leadership capabilities and interpersonal communication skills. The Student Leadership Team is responsible for running the consulting operation, staffing the projects and performing key marketing, operations and training activities. Student Senior Managers a

re responsible for ensuring the successful ex*****on of the client projects under their supervision. While IBC is open to any student on campus, we are proud to be a part of and supported by the Gies College of Business.

Illinois Business Consulting will be hosting a virtual one-day case competition on November 7th targeted at prospective underclassmen students who are interested in joining our organization next semester. Feel free to join the competition with a team or by yourself and we can randomly assign you to a team. You can find more details about the competition or who is eligible to join down below!

Why participate?
This case competition is a great opportunity for underclassmen students to solve a case that models real-world business scenarios focusing on the strategic issues currently being faced by companies all over the world. During the case, students will be able to:
* Work in teams and develop their problem solving, communication, and presentation skills
* Connect with IBC students and learn more about the IBC organization as a whole
* Build your resume and differentiate yourselves during recruiting
* Have an opportunity to win Gies merchandise for the top three teams

Who can participate?
Teams must be 3-4 people who meet the following criteria:
* Must be either a Freshman or Sophomore pursuing any major
* Can have a maximum of one IBC new consultant in each team
