If you are looking to hire us for estate sale services, please visit our website champaignestatesales.com for more information. Our page serves more for our customers for upcoming sales. If you are a customer looking to attend an estate sale, let us tell you how they work! After posting “sneak-peek” pictures, we spend the week preparing, tagging and researching items for opening day. We
do not price the house until after all social media has been posted, and typically it is the days just before the sale. Our main priority is the client and getting the sale ready in time for the opening day. We’d hate to rush and give out prices only to change them later upon further research or inspection. Upon entering the home on the sale day, everything will be priced individually. Our Facebook albums serve as a "sneak peek" at what will be at that week's sale. Each album will provide details, pictures, info, an address, dates and times for the sale. We have a sale and are in a new house about every two weeks, sometimes every week. Sales are typically Thursday nights and Friday mornings in the spring, summer and fall. During winter, sales are typically Friday and Saturday mornings. Everything is typically sold in two or three days, and we do not sell anything twice. If you did not attend a particular sale, we do not still have items from it that are for sale. Please make sure to look at captions of photos and when the pictures were posted of the particular photo album you're looking at to make sure it isn't a past sale. We sell on a first come, first serve basis. We NEVER have pre-sales or ever sell anything early. It would kill our reputation as much as we'd like to ! There will be a line to enter the home, so if there is something you want, come early! We do not know what time to tell you unfortunately. Please take a moment and read our rules.
1. If you are coming early to wait in line, you must have one "place-marker" PER person. A "place-marker" could be a water bottle, coffee mug, etc. to mark your spot in line. You must remain on the premises. We also limit the amount of people in the home at once for safety and security.
2. If there is something small you would like to purchase, hold onto it or place it onto one of our "HOLD" tables. If it is a large or awkward item you would like to buy, pull the large tag and hang onto it. This means the item is "yours". Our #1 rule is, you are NOT allowed to put tags back onto items. DO NOT PULL A TAG UNLESS YOU ARE 100% SURE YOU ARE BUYING IT. For example, you cannot pull the tag and call your spouse or friend to see if they like it. You will receive a "SOLD" sign as soon as you pay. Bring muscle for large items
4. HAVE FUN! Estate Sales are a blast! We accept cash, checks and card. I can also email invoices to be paid by phone or computer.
