I want to extend my sincere appreciation to Randy and Joe at 1up Racing Brian Eiter from HRCR and Hobbywing North America Hobby Action RC Raceway for helping me allocate product for the car stolen in shipping a few weeks ago. The hobby industry has always been friends helping friends, and I’m very fortunate to have lifelong relationships with the best people in it, trying to make a living in this hobby we love. 🤝

I guess these days insurance on shipments is a necessity to avoid situations like this one. A hard lesson was learned. If you’re sending your cars to me, or me to you, please insure your packages, and expect a fee in return. It’s not worth the risk.

I’ve been continuing my side hustle in the midst of the new position I’ve started, concentrating on VIP customers and primarily new builds. If you’d like your next new race car built, let me know. As always, your business is and will always be appreciated.

Hey all,

These pictures show an XRAY 2wd I wired for a customer and shipped back to Indiana. Somewhere between Hobby Action RC Raceway and the destination, the contents of the box were stolen. I’ve tried contacting USPS with, of course, no response yet.

Keep an eye out for an XRAY XB2 ‘25 with TeamPowers RC electronics and full Ti screw kit at your local track. If anybody has any info, if this looks familiar- you’ve seen somebody trying to sell an XRAY that’s wired similar, let me know.

People suck.

Walking into Hobby Action for the last time as a full time employee today. It’s been an amazing three years full of personal and professional growth, and some of the most rewarding and fun times I’ve had in the hobby industry.

I want to thank and for giving me the opportunity to make Hobby Action my own, to take big swings at implementing new inventory ( and sometimes miss), to introduce a completely new genre of racing, to take on a World Championship and set the bar for large race events, and to put their trust in me with every facet of the business. This place has truly given me the confidence to not only take on a new challenge, but succeed in the next chapter in my career.

This isn’t goodbye by any means- I will continue to stay in tune with the business, continue to run the dirt oval race program, and continue to race and build cars I want to thank all of our dedicated, loyal customers and racers that made coming to work every day a pleasure. I will forever be a part of the Hobby Action family.

A very busy couple of days announcing and racing at M&M Mile RC Oval Track for the Arizona Dirt Oval Championships, but had an amazing time! Took the win in Outlaw Sprint against a stacked field🏆

We got halfway through seeding on Friday when rain would postpone the program until Saturday. The track would still be in perfect shape on Saturday for 3 qualifiers and main events. The track didn’t quite rubber in like I’d hoped for JConcepts Inc Smoothie 3 tires in blue compound to shine, but silver Smoothie 2’s would, as always, bring the magic. I would take 5 overall points in quals to seed third in the show. After a couple hiccups in the first 15 or so laps, I settled in just behind Bryson Curry for the next 20. A small bobble from Bryson put me into the lead and I was able to hold on until the end. Congrats to Bryson and Dick Reece on their podium finish, and Trever Epperson with a 360 Sprint win with his Custom Works Outlaw 5!

It was my first time in Michael Malmgren and Peach Malmgren facility, and I was blown away. The track is incredible, and they really know how to put a program together. There was food and drinks available, and a super relaxed vibe made the event a great time to all that attended. Huge thank you to them for giving me a chance to run their biggest race of the year, I can’t wait to be back.

To all the racers that attended, thank you for cooperation during the program. We ran 50 heats and 32 mains in record time! Danny Reinhold and Trever Epperson worked their butts off the entire weekend with track maintenance and anything else Mike, myself or the program needed.
———
It was neat to reconnect with old friends and see familiar faces over the weekend. R/C oval racing in Arizona is alive and well with a great group of people, and I am proud to be a small part of it.
———
Can’t thank Ethan Kovalsky enough for making sure my car was on point and ready for every race this weekend. Wouldn’t be able to race without his help!
———
Huge thank you to everybody that supports my race program. See you all this Friday at Hobby Action RC Raceway🏁
