Over the last several videos we've explored a simple idea.
The internet became very good at helping people get attention.
Creators chase followers.
Businesses chase visibility.
Platforms chase engagement.
But attention alone doesn't always create lasting value.
In Video 7, we explore a different question.
What if the future isn't about getting more attention?
What if it's about creating more participation?
As we studied creator platforms, influencer networks, and community-building systems, we discovered something interesting.
Many of them do some things extremely well. They help people build identity, visibility, recognition, and community.
But most are still operating within the attention economy.
Webigo began asking a different question:
How do businesses, consumers, Community Coordinators, and local communities create more value together?
That's where the Participation Economy begins.
In this episode, you'll discover the role of the Community Coordinator, why local business activation matters, and how participation may create opportunities that extend far beyond a single post, campaign, or moment of attention.
Welcome to Video 7.
The Participation Economy.
