FOCUS = FEELING
-
Your feelings are shaped by three things: your focus, your physiology, and your language.
The words you choose matter. They aren’t just describing your experience—they’re creating it.
We all have patterns of language that we use every day. If you’re constantly saying, “I’m exhausted,” “Nothing ever works,” or “This is impossible,” your brain begins to believe those words, and your emotions follow.
The same is true for your focus. Whatever you focus on expands. Focus on problems, and you’ll feel defeated. Focus on solutions, and you’ll feel empowered.
Then there’s physiology. How you stand, breathe, move, and carry yourself affects your emotional state. Confidence creates a different posture than discouragement, and changing your body can help change your mindset.
When you combine empowering language, intentional focus, and strong physiology, you create an emotional state that supports success instead of sabotaging it.
Ask yourself throughout the day:
• What am I focusing on?
• What words am I using?
• How am I carrying myself?
