When my husband’s cousin (also a photographer) visited us a few years back, she agreed to model a few new pieces I had purchased for the client closet. If you know anything about me as a kid, I LOVED playing Barbie’s. I think that’s one of the reasons I love dressing my clients so much, lol.

I love the way different colors, textures, and details can compliment the beauty of a woman’s body - especially when she’s pregnant.

Welp, in playing with Stacey at this time, she wasn’t actually pregnant. We used a pillow to give the illusion of a bump and she rocked it like a 28 week pregnant mama with heartburn. 😆

Stacey is one of the most photogenic people I’ve ever photographed which made this session absolutely easy and images, stunning. However, little did we know what we were putting into the universe. ♥️

This past spring Stacey and her hubby welcomed their first child to our family. I’m so happy we “played” during our faux maternity session because they had since moved overseas and it will be a while before we can meet our newest cousin and it kills me to not have been able to do her real maternity and newborn photos. 😩

With so much love and happiness, we wish you and your little 🦦 the very best life has to offer. Congratulations, I knew motherhood looked good on you! 😘

Motherhood is made up of ordinary moments that become extraordinary with time.

The sound of piano keys drifting through the house.
A tiny cello resting beside the couch and a little boy eager to play along side his mother. This home is filled not only with love, but with beautiful music woven into everyday life. That’s what we captured during this special in-home portrait session.

There is something so special about watching a child grow up surrounded by creativity, discipline, expression, and joy through music.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Music becomes more than a hobby in childhood. It builds confidence. Encourages focus and emotional connection.
Strengthens learning and development in ways that last far beyond the early years and sometimes the most meaningful thing we can do is preserve the beautiful rhythm of a family exactly as it is right now.

Fun fact: I played the clarinet from 5th grade through my Freshman year of high school and was in the marching band.

Taking a moment to reflect on the moments that make life so special is important. Sometimes in the midst of the chaos of life we lose focus of all of the little things that make our existence in the world magical. There is something really special about photographing women who are fully walking in their calling.

I recently had the honor of photographing Stacy Foust, founder of Human Design Hub. From the moment she stepped in front of my camera, her presence was calm, grounded, and deeply intentional. Exactly how you would imagine a business strategist who helps people realign their work and leadership with who they actually are.

Stacy works with entrepreneurs and leaders who feel successful on paper but know something is off underneath. Through Human Design and strategic coaching, she helps them understand how they are wired, how they make decisions best, and how to build a business that feels aligned instead of exhausting.

And here is what I love most about that.

When you understand yourself at that level, it shows. It shows in how you speak. It shows in how you lead. It shows in how you carry yourself in a photograph.

A strong headshot is not just about good lighting. It is about clarity and confidence. Stacy embodies both.

If you are a business owner who feels like you are doing all the things but not necessarily the right things, she is someone worth connecting with. And if you are stepping into a new level of leadership, make sure your headshot reflects that version of you.
