I had nice a meeting yesterday with one of the contractors I work with, he was concerned about true apples to apples bidding in this business. It seems he had been caught up in a bidding war, were the other bidders intentionally bid low to get the contract, intending to write change orders later to make up the difference.

NOT HERE! That kind of practice, in my opinion, is dirty pool. And it certainly does not benefit my client's interest.

I will be triple checking all of my construction documents and working with my attorney, to make sure we have NO opportunity for this game of dirty pool on our projects.

Good fair competition, everyone on the same playing board is one of the ways we are going to make this industry better. The days of the good ole boys and playing games with change orders is coming to end.
