National Safety Month is an annual event observed each June in the United States, organized by the National Safety Council to raise awareness about safety issues and encourage safe practices in the workplace, homes, and communities. This is the 30th anniversary of National Safety Month, which began in 1996. As more focus is paid to occupational health and safety, the importance of this observation has grown.
This year’s weekly themes are:
• Week 1: Moving Safety Forward
• Week 2: Staying Safe on the Roads
• Week 3: Promoting Holistic Worker Health
• Week 4: Preventing Slips, Trips, and Falls
Whether at home, in the office, or anywhere, let’s remember to think safety, work safely!
