Graded for drainage and culvert, brought in material to raise up the road, and compacted it properly so it holds up.

Phase 1 complete on this Chapin project!
We cleared the lot, installed a construction entrance, and spread chips on the hill to help with erosion control while the site dries out.

Next up: stump removal and the basement dig.

Completed an emergency 48” culvert replacement project not long ago. The original pipe had failed and was basically acting like a wind sail from the runoff no match for the flow of water coming through.

✔️ Removed failed culvert
✔️ Installed 48” pipe ~35’ long
✔️ Brought in ~6 loads of fill dirt+ 57 stone base
✔️ Compacted in lifts and resloped ditches
✔️ Reinforced banks with rip rap and fabric
✔️ Refreshed gravel driveway
