🌿✨ Introducing a New Summer Experience for Young Learners in Charleston! ✨🌿

We’re excited to launch the Nurturing Freedom Summer Saturday School — a brand new FREE 6-week early childhood program for children ages 3–8. Rooted in African Diaspora traditions and Gullah-Geechee heritage, this culturally grounded program offers:

🎶 African dance, drumming & storytelling
📚 Language- and literacy-rich, culturally responsive curriculum
🌱 Outdoor play and nature-based learning
🧠 A welcoming space for neurodiverse and sensory-sensitive children

📅 Saturdays | June–August 2025
📍 Charleston, SC (location shared upon registration)

Last night, three South Carolina youths testified before the South Carolina Committee on Children.

Instead of studying and preparing for another day of class, they testified against gun violence.

Instead of laughing and chatting with friends, they testified against discriminatory practices in South Carolina schools against transgender youth.

It was past 7pm, their voices shook but they were firm in their conviction. They paused and gathered their thoughts often but they finished. This is why I put all I have into the success of our youth, I will never give up on you or fight against ensuring each and everyone of you is seen!
