Had a big revelation the other day…. 😮

I’m okay with doing things my way.

I was telling my coach that launch planning has always been a struggle for me because I can’t seem to organize or pre-plan a dang thing.

I tend to launch things on the fly ✈️ but I’ve always had success.

And I’ve come to the conclusion that’s it A-okay not to be a planner. 👍🏻

I don’t have to listen to the norms of the industry or follow the advice I hear all around or feel guilty about not doing things the “correct” way.

Do I appreciate the guidance of those who are more successful and experienced? Absolutely!

But I can still trust myself to make the decisions that are right for me and leave the extra stress behind.

My schedule can be hectic because I take care of my kids 24/7.

I don’t have the energy or any quiet spaces to organize a 12-week launch.

And yes, I can definitely outsource it and will one day. But not today.

I’m satisfied with my “on the fly” marketing and I’ve attracted some amazing clients by just being myself and showing up.

So, I want you to know, however you are showing up and promoting your offers is okay too.

Just be authentically you.

And don’t accept the additional stress or pressure from this online space. Like says, we don’t receive that ✌🏼

Passive income isn't so passive 😂

It takes work & money to create, set up, and market this offer.

And what most people don't tell you is that making tons of sales in your sleep requires a significant amount of marketing whether free or paid (or both). Because it requires TRAFFIC.

So here are some things to think about before you launch that passive offer you've had in mind.

If you can answer, "YES!" to these questions, it's probably a great time to consider getting that product created and out into the world.

If not, it might be a good idea to wait so you don't spend too much time & energy creating something that doesn't sell.

Ever feel this way?

You see all those other VA's offering a system you want to offer and it makes you feel inferior 😣

"They are probably so much better than I am at this."
"They look like an expert, and I feel like such a newbie."
"Why would anyone pick me?"

And my answer is, "Because those people aren't you!"

We all attract different clients. We all connect with our ideal clients in different ways.

You are not going to attract everyone, and we don't want to.

But the people who enjoy your content, who find your content valuable, who connect with you, who feel like they can trust you....those are the people who will say YES to you.

So work on building those relationships. Work on building trust. And the perfect clients will come.

And while you're at it, mute that "expert" Susie over there because we don't need that comparisonitis in our lives. 🤫

I never thought I was special.

I wasn't the incredibly smart one. 💡

I wasn't the adventurous one. 🏍

I was the sweet one. The helper. The one who took on the responsibility. The reliable one. The one who followed the beaten path.

So taking this risk was never expected.

Quitting my teaching job was unthinkable.

And to imagine, now I'm here 2+ years in.

Working from home on my own schedule, less than 40 hours a month, and exceeding my teacher salary (by a good bit).

I still don't think I'm special.

But I do feel very blessed. 🙏🏼

Blessed to have this opportunity.

Blessed to be able to take my kids to the playground in the middle of a weekday.

Blessed to be able to run to appointments or the grocery store whenever I please.

And I'll never take it for granted.

Thank you to those who have helped me get here.

Thank you to my clients who gave me a chance.

I'm forever grateful! 💖

This may go against the grain but.....

I don't believe in the power of ✨manifestation✨.

Don't come at me now 😅

I once thought maybe this was real. Maybe I can have whatever I focus on and put my energy around. It does sound dreamy right?

But then I rekindled my faith.

And I remembered that I'm not in control of my destiny, HE is.

As much as I work towards hitting those income goals, I remind myself that HE could take it all away in an instant.

So I try not to focus on worldly things. I don't have pictures of a fancy house or car on a vision board above my desk (no shame if you do).

I'm focused on my faith.

And what I've seen is a major shift in my mindset.

I feel more fulfilled. I feel satisfied with the work I'm doing and where I'm at in my business. I'm not itching to make those 10k+ months like everyone else is because I know that nothing with fulfill me but God.

And I've realized what I've been called to do is to serve.

Serve my church and serve my community.

And that's why He gave me this business in which I have the flexibility to do so.

I know this isn't what this online space teaches you.

Is your website causing mistrust? 😰

We want potential clients to think, "Yes! This is who I need." soon after they land on our home page.

We want them to feel a sense of trust that encourages them to take the next step ➡️ book a call.

How do we do this?

By having a website that tells them 1. Who we are 2. What we do 3. How we can help them and by 4. Having consistency throughout.

🤔Does one page say you're a social media manager while another says you're a funnel strategist? = mistrust

🤔Does each page have a different theme/color palette? = mistrust

🤔Are your words generic with no personality? = mistrust

🤔Are you lacking any kind of social proof? = mistrust

Take a hard look at the vibes your website is giving off and when in doubt, ask someone else to critique it. Sometimes we need an outsider's perspective to see where the faults lie.

Funnelytics!

This tool is so much fun to play with and soooo easy to use. Y'all, I STRUGGLE trying to piece together a funnel with all the lines, shapes, text, etc. They end up looking real janky! 😂

But with this, creating a funnel map is a breeze! 🙌🏼

Why did I choose to specialize in Kartra? (swipe)

Raise your hand if you thought offering all the services in your VA biz was the way to go 🙋🏻‍♀️

ha ha oops.....

It didn't take long for me to realize this wasn't sustainable.

1. I felt like my marketing was all over the place. If I was confused, I know my audience was.

2. I was so overwhelmed by having to learn so many new systems at a time. With every new client came some new systems which meant more energy and time I had to spend learning them.

3. I couldn't charge higher prices because I wasn't truly an expert at anything I offered. I was just "meh" at them and you don't charge premium prices if you're only "meh".

4. I wasn't getting hired by super successful business owners because I wasn't the expert. This led to taking on multiple clients at lower price points in order to meet my income goals which led to burnout and major anxiety.

After specializing in Kartra, I was able to reduce overwhelm, become the go-to person for this service, raise my prices, and scale my business.

We have to shift our mindsets and realize that sometimes less is more.

You don't have to keep taking on clients.

You don't have to keep charging low prices.

You can specialize in one thing and be (super) successful.
