MATCHMAKER MONDAY!!!

Let’s take some of the pressure off the first date.

The first date is not an audition for the role of your future spouse.

You don’t have to figure out if this person is “the one” before the appetizers arrive. You don’t need to analyze every word, look for instant chemistry, or decide whether you could build a life together.

Your only job is to be present, be curious, and get to know the person sitting across from you.

Ask yourself:

Did I enjoy being around this person?

Did I feel comfortable being myself?

Did we have good conversation?

Am I curious enough to see them again?

That’s it.

Sometimes we put so much pressure on a first date that we forget to actually experience the date. We’re evaluating instead of connecting. Watching for red flags instead of noticing the person. Waiting for a “spark” instead of allowing attraction and connection to develop naturally.

You don't have to decide your future on the first date.

Just decide whether you'd like a second date.
