This feature in Southern Living marks my induction into the “5x club”. Think SNL, except we don’t get a robe! 😂
I’m honored to be included for sharing tips for what to declutter every month.
A few tips that made the article:
✨Paper clutter on kitchen counters: Recycle magazines and newspapers after 30 days, if you haven’t read something in 30 days you likely won’t.
✨Expired coupons: Throw out old ones to make room for new ones and keep your stash current
✨Homemade concoctions: Salad dressings, mayo, sauces, etc. Fresh homemade sauces and mixtures have a shorter shelf life than preserved grocery store items.
A few other tips to consider:
✨grocery bags: Paper and plastic bags tend to accumulate, so make a point to recycle them in the bins at the grocery store on your next visit.
✨Produce (fruits and vegetables) in the refrigerator: clean out anything going bad so it doesn’t aid in the decay of nearby items.
✨Take home condiments tend to collect - reduce the stash and only keep what you think you will still use.
✨Self-care items: Replace monthly contact lenses that need to be swapped out.
✨Dry cleaner hangers: easy to return for recycling
Monthly decluttering of these small categories can really help with your overall maintenance.
