Solutions for the Greater Good Fundraising Coaching/Consulting or Executive Leadership for Nonprofit Organizations

Elevate your charitable organization's effectiveness by engaging major gift donors in the life of your organization. Organizational Development, Board Training, Case for Support Creation, Identification of Major Gift Donors, Peer-to-Peer Cultivation and Solicitation, Special Events... whatever it takes to engage your volunteer leadership, donors and advocates in supporting the "greater good" being

met by your charitable organization. As a 30-year fundraising veteran, I've had the opportunity to help organizations raise tens of millions in support for a variety of charitable causes. As a fundraising consultant, I specialize in helping not-for-profit organizations embark on major gift initiatives to expand their effectiveness. I focus on board training, organizational development, pre-campaign planning, feasibility studies and peer-to-peer fundraising strategies to help organizations realize their great dreams to fulfill their respective missions. I believe in the power of philanthropy to address community issues and have a passion for the creation of enlightened sustainable communities with quality of life for all. My hope for all is to live in thriving communities that have access to food, shelter and safe drinking water, and value youth, the elderly, education at all levels, arts and culture, the environment and green space, rights for humans and animals, access for the disabled and a safety net of human services for the disadvantaged among us. I am very interested in utilizing my skills and knowledge to engage the 4th sector - government, corporate and the nonprofit sectors all working together to create a new paradigm for our future. I am passionate about people - donors, volunteers, advocates, community leaders and constituents - and I believe that there will always be abundant resources and financial support to fund great ideas and community impact as long as it is backed by a sound plan. I also believe that individuals who have had successful careers and have accumulated wealth have a desire to "finish well" - and that if so inspired by a great dream for a common vision, they will need the nonprofit sector to help them accomplish their goals for their community in the areas that they are passionate about.

Extremely proud of ICNA Relief Shifa Free Clinic Charleston for the Grand Opening of their new facility on Marina Drive off Clements Ferry Road. With 5,000 square feet, they are able to provide free healthcare and healthy and nutritious food in their food pantry more efficiently and effectively! Mayor John Tecklenburg pronounced Shifa Free Clinic Founder Dr. Reshma Khan as the "Mother Teresa" of Charleston, and we couldn't agree more! Find out more about the expansion campaign and how you can help to fund the new facility and assure ongoing operations over the next 3 years at www.icnarelief.org/shifaclinics/campaign

Generosity Lit Up The World.

What started in 2012 as a simple idea–a day that encouraged people to do good–has grown into a worldwide phenomenon inspiring millions of people to give back and reach out in kindness each year.
GivingTuesday reports that people contributed $2.7 billion to U.S. nonprofits and community organizations in 24 hours on 2021- a 9% increase from 2020. 35 million adults in the U.S. participated in many ways on GivingTuesday 2021. ways on GivingTuesday 2021. Volunteering on the day increased by 11% and gifts of goods (clothes, food, supplies, etc.) saw an 8% increase compared to 2020.

“GivingTuesday is joyful even at the darkest of times, and yesterday was about millions of people celebrating their ability to meaningfully impact their communities and the world,” says Asha Curran, co-founder and CEO of GivingTuesday."

“Giving is an important metric of civic participation, a way to build the kind of society we want to live in. Our hope is that this boost of generosity is an inspiration for continued giving, kindness, and recognition of our shared humanity each day of the year."

Thank you lighting the world.

Incredibly proud of our client Turning Leaf! Changing the world one life at a time...

"Turning Leaf has so many success stories it’s mind-boggling....

As the program expands into the capital city, expect more people to take notice of the good work Barch’s nonprofit does. That will undoubtedly lead to even more expansion.

And that’s how Barch may eventually change the world."

Thank you to Brian Hicks at the The Post and Courier for his enthusiastic and nuanced take on our expansion project!

Solutions for the Greater Good is proud of our client Turning Leaf, an innovative nonprofit changing the future for formerly incarcerated individuals by employing intense Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Job Training through their social enterprise business, Turning Leaf Print Shop. Learn more about their approach through this article by Amy Barch appearing in Stanford Social Innovation Review. Support Turning Leaf in their efforts to expand to a statewide model to serve as the first national model for prison re-entry. Donations accepted at https://turningleafproject.charityproud.org/Donate, or consider purchasing your custom screen print t-shirts or other promotional items through the Turning Leaf Print Shop here: https://www.turningleafproject.com/screen-printing/ Watch for big news to come this fall!

Most programs that try to help formerly imprisoned people re-enter society and avoid reincarceration have been far from successful. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) may help turn the tide.
