So when it came time to head to college, it was no surprise that she chose The University of Alabama {ROLL TIDE!}. Once there, Katie excelled in Fashion Merchandising, Textiles, Marketing and Photography. She briefly left the South for a promising opportunity with Vogue magazine in NYC, before following her heart and returning to Charleston. It was as the Special Events Manager for a widely-distri
buted
magazine that Katie realized that event design was where she should focus her creative energy. A quick wit with a real strength for design, Katie creates beautiful events. The Burlap Elephant is the culmination of all of these moments and the beginning of something big. Katie currently lives and works in Charleston, SC with her wonderful husband and two young, amazing, and energetic children.
