We’re partnering with the Grand Rapids Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority to bring you Swim 1922! This FREE water safety event is geared towards ages 5-14 and is happening this Saturday at Briggs Pool. Registration is required.

Class attendees will learn practical water safety information through exploring informational stations including:

✅ The importance of lifejackets
✅ What to do in an emergency
✅ Where and when to swim
✅ Swimming safely – avoiding injury

This is a great opportunity for kids to learn how to confidently and safely engage with aquatic environments and gain tools to help them respond appropriately in the event of an emergency.

Swim 1922 is a national initiative of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority in partnership with USA Swimming. The goal is to provide opportunities to learn water safety, reduce the fear of learning to swim, and open minds and change attitudes around swimming.
