This hallway had put in a lot of miles, and it showed. 👣 We swapped out the worn, stained carpet for new patterned carpet tile and fresh wall base.

Same doors, same walls, completely different first impression.

About 80–85% of the dirt inside a building is tracked in on shoes. Most of it can be stopped at the door.

The right entry matting makes the difference. The first 3 feet captures roughly 20% of that dirt, with 6 feet about 40%, and 12–15 feet up to 90%. Less dirt at the door means cleaner hallways, longer-lasting floors, and a lighter load for your custodial team. That's helpful with wet winter weather on the way.

Is your vacuum actually cleaning your carpet? We've pulled plenty of soil out of carpets that were on a regular vacuuming schedule. A few things we see all the time:

- Backpack and stick vacuums work well on hard floors, but on carpet they mostly pick up what's on the surface. For carpet, an upright is more effective.
- A few quick passes down the middle of a hallway may save time, but they miss the edges, and soil builds up along the walls over time.
- A vacuum bag that's two-thirds full loses about half its suction. Check filters and bags regularly.

We're proud of our carpet cleaning skills, but sometimes it's time for a change. In this Before & After, we replaced the carpet in a busy common area for a church. The space looks the same in structure, but the brand-new look makes all the difference. 🌞

When most people picture carpet cleaning, they imagine the van outside with the hose. Hot water gets sprayed in, then vacuumed back out. Problem is, that only pulls up about a third of the water. The rest remains, which is why a "just cleaned" carpet can feel damp and smell a little off for hours.

Our process is different. We use a low-moisture foam with counter-rotating brushes to lift dirt and clean the carpet. No soaking, no standing water, and it dries fast. That's better for the environment, and better for the people walking on it.
