This week is the season finale of season three of the Hello Velocity Podcast!

After twelve weeks of discussing stress and burnout, I'm realizing it's even more complicated than I thought so we could probably keep it going for another twelve weeks... but I won't!

I'll be taking the next few months off from the podcast and we'll return for season four in September.

We're wrapping up the season with this week's episode covering the personal demands and resources that may be causing your burnout.

✅ We need to manage or reduce the personal demands of our daily lives like home care workload, finances, physical health, and more.

✅ We need to also increase the personal resources or support we receive in areas such as community, emotional health, and joy.

✅ Use the Free Download: What's Causing Your Burnout? to identify which of the factors are most directly causing your current or potential burnout at https://www.hellovelocity.co/burnout

Burnout doesn’t usually sound like: “I’m burned out.”

It can look like:
• A strong employee going quiet
• Lower team morale and energy
• Team members disagreeing or bickering more often

And most leaders don’t catch it until it’s already a problem.

If you’ve been thinking...
“Why does my team seem less engaged lately?”

This webinar is for you.

Thank you to for returning to the Hello Velocity podcast!

With the job market continuing to evolve, and seeing so many people being laid off or struggling to find a job, I knew she was the person to talk through it with.

In this week's episode we discuss:
✅ There's been a huge pendulum swing in the job market in the last few years that has many workers feeling job insecure.

✅ If you do get laid off, you can manage your post-layoff anxiety by avoiding doom-scrolling, recognizing and replacing catastrophic thoughts, and collecting compliments.

✅ Nicole emphasizes relationship-building over relying only on applications, and recommends limiting resume tailoring to a few versions to reduce job-search burnout.

Are you waiting until you're completely drained before you refill your own cup?

Recently one of my clients was sharing how she got completely burnt out recently after several busy weeks at work plus weekend obligations with friends and family.

Knowing she had another busy season coming up she wanted to talk through ideas of how to prep before and afterwards so that she could enjoy a big family weekend without feeling completely drained afterwards.

I challenged her, "what are you going to do for yourself during the weekend to keep your cup filled?"

She hadn't even thought about that.

So we brainstormed some new ideas of what are those little moments or activities that recharge her, even if it's 5 minutes alone in the morning with your coffee, sneaking away for a quiet walk outside, or going to bed early to read so you can maintain your energy.

Committing to and maintaining boundaries like this sound so simple but can be so hard in the moment. We want to spend time with our loved ones, but we tend to forget to take care of ourselves during the process. Then we're exhausted after a weekend of fun and have to somehow still focus at work on Monday.

As we're approaching the busy summer season - what commitments do you need to make with yourself, for yourself, to maintain your energy to enjoy your weekends to the fullest?

During change and uncertainty, most people choose to lay low, or even shrink, and wait to see what happens.

Susan Barber challenges us to instead step up and become a leader during change.

You can't control what happens, but you can control how you react in the situation.

You might even see a new side of yourself (and others will too).

Stay visible.

Your team is handling more than ever and you’re not sure how long that’s sustainable.

They’re stepping up, saying yes, and getting things done.

But the workload keeps growing.

And you’re starting to wonder:

“When does high performance turn into burnout?”

Due to the demand of my last burnout webinar, I’m hosting another, this time to focus on leaders and teams:

🎯How to Keep Your Team Engaged & Prevent Burnout

We’ll cover how to spot early signs of burnout, what’s actually driving engagement, and what you can do as a leader to support your team before it’s too late.
