Revisiting some 1Acropolis moments...!

I recently posted on the 1Acropolis page that we traveled up north over Labor Day weekend for a family wedding.

Traveled to Up-State New York over the Labor Day Weekend to attend a family wedding. The wedding was lovely and it is always nice to catch up with family from afar...but the drive from Charlotte to Ithaca was LONG.
A bright spot as we traveled through Pennsylvania was passing exit after exit for 1ACROPOLIS projects of the past. A dozen projects or more spanning 1993 -2023. Lots of good memories (and fun projects!).

An update on the Hufnagle Park Event Venue Construction project in Lewisburg, PA! We are the consultants working with Strosser Baer Architects on the "...updated lighting, sound...."

So excited to see this project moving forward and the benefits to the Lewisburg community.

May 3, 2023 - Borough of Lewisburg kicks-off Hufnagle Park Event Venue Construction Project

On Monday, May 1, 2023, The Borough of Lewisburg began a $2,500,000 construction project in the heart of downtown Lewisburg. Funding provided by PA Department of Community & Economic Development thru Community Development Block Grant will improve Hufnagle Park and make it a destination for years to come. The construction will include an expanded performance/event space with updated lighting, sound and amphitheater seating, improved water quality and increased floodplain storage capacity as part of the Limestone (Bull) Run Floodplain restoration, eliminate all stairs and ramps to improve accessibility throughout the park, and provide a safe pedestrian pick-up/drop off at Market Street. Gray Builders, LLC. Danville is the primary contractor for the development.

According to Shannon Berkey, Lewisburg Borough Community Development Grant Manager, “the inconvenience of closing the park during 2023 will benefit the Lewisburg Borough and surrounding areas well into the future.” Residents and visitors to the Borough should be mindful of the construction zone south of Market Street and north of St. Louis Street. Also, the Hufnagle Park parking lot will be closed for the duration of the construction. The project is expected to be complete in December 2023.

Lewisburg Borough residents and our visitors are asked for their patience while the improvement project is taking place. Big congratulations to all involved with the inaugural season of the Association of Performing Arts Professionals' podcast, ARTS. WORK. LIFE., especially Clair Caulfield and Jenny Thomas.
