In the case a guitar needs a restring or minor repairs, I do offer guitar repair services. Sometimes I’ll come across a guitar that needs more work than I can handle so my fiancé will step in and help me.

The guitar needed a restring, polish, the fretboard needed to be rehydrated and the bridge pins needed to be popped out and replaced.

This beautiful fender acoustic was brought to me for 2 new students of mine. It belonged to her late brother and the guitar hadn’t ever been repaired or restrung since her brother had the guitar. Cleaning this guitar up and restringing for her kids to use, felt special. These are the things I love about music.

My 11 year old piano student! He wanted to learn the song apologize by one republic and he learned the whole thing in one lesson. He practices everyday and is always looking for new songs to learn. Great job!

A video one of the parents sent me of one of my piano students practicing “Old McDonald had a farm.” He is only 6 years old and this was after 1 day of practice. a great song for beginner piano students. Love seeing my students excited to practice. Great job!!

Just a 2 week difference with one of my guitar students! She's made such fast progress, she definitely puts in her practice in and it shows!

These moments make me so happy. When we started lessons the parent let me know she had taken guitar lessons a year prior but she had lost interest. Students will lose interest when there isn't a reachable goal for them. I try my best to always meet students where they are.

And guitar is not easy, it hurts your fingers when you first start playing and takes time to build calluses on your fingers. Im so happy to see she is now motivated to keep learning. Great job!

my guitar student reading the notes in her book and playing her simple G, G7, and C chord. the simple versions only use the first three strings on the guitar and one finger. The full chords use all 3 fingers and all 5-6 strings which can be a lot at first. especially for my young guitar players.

Over the almost 6 years of teaching guitar and piano I've learned to keep things fun, and to meet the student where they're at. Everyone learns differently and I think what might work for one child or adult may be different for another. For this guitar student we are working out of the Alfreds kids guitar book 1. The pictures are fun, and the structure is just the right pace for her.

So proud of my guitar student who is only 8y! Her favorite artist is Taylor Swift. And she loves to write her own songs! When she comes to a lesson inspired to write a song I have her use the chords we've learned to put with her lyrics.

She pays attention to the smallest details and asks such great questions during our lesson. Great job!!

Another high e string break! This is super common so don’t panic if this happens. It is usually an easy fix. Funny enough we were sitting down tuning before our lesson and his e string broke. Luckily I had my restringing kit on hand since I had just did a restringing lesson with my other student.

I had my student learn how to change his strings, polish his guitar and rehydrate his fretboard. He told me he had such a fun time learning.

When I was 10 years old and my guitar string broke (also not my fault my dad’s fault cause he was trying to help me tune) I was so upset Iol. I had to wait weeks before I saw my guitar. Let alone finding a music store was hard enough lol. How the times have changed!

How often do you practice guitar?

My guitar student had a talent show yesterday and did such a great job! We prepared for about a month prior learning a new song, per her suggestion. She played 3 full chords from memory, and to a track. She has been working hard on her practice and always shows up ready to learn in our lessons. and only 11! So proud!!
